Bliss Spa, W Hotel – Waxing and eyebrow threading
Bliss Spa’s poetic waxing treatments are on offer at its home inside the W Hotel, with bikini waxes ranging from $399 to $599. It also has a 15-minute bikini treatment to eliminate pesky in-grown hairs for $619, which works by using microdermabrasion to lift dead skin cells and remove the trapped hairs. Bliss can take care of your eyebrow threading needs as well, with shaping for $299.
Browhaus – Brow and lash grooming including threading and tweezing
The name is a bit of a giveaway with this concept store, so no prizes for guessing it specialises in brow and lash grooming. And with outlets across the globe (including in London, New York and Shanghai), you know it’s doing something right. All of its therapists have been put through their paces at its own Browhaus Training School, so rest assured they are highly skilled. It offers several options for basic brow shaping (with classic threading from $195, or thread and tweeze for $265), as well as colour tweaking.
Dolma Waxing Boutique – Affordable Brazilian wax, bikini waxing, eyebrow threading and more
Dolma is a bit of an institution on the Hong Kong waxing scene (and with very good reason), having built up a dedicated following over the past two decades. Her boutique promises a relaxing and comforting environment, with cleanliness as a top priority. It’s also reasonably priced, with bikini waxes from $250. You’ll pay $350 for a Hollywood or Brazilian wax, which the therapists can complete in a speedy 15 minutes. Plus, you can get your brows sorted while you’re there, with eyebrow threading from $150. Book through Dolma’s Facebook page and the salon even accepts PayMe, so you can do everything digitally.
Feel Good Factor – Waxing, threading and IPL
The Feel Good Factor has stood the test of time in Hong Kong since 1999, and with good reason in our opinion. Its friendly staff are sure to help you out if you need advice about any of its many hair removal offerings (which include waxing, threading and IPL). Its waxing starts from $60 for toes, a Brazilian bikini wax will set you back $490 and you’ll pay $200 for its eyebrow threading. For IPL, the salon has single sessions (from $400) or you can pay for a set of six (from $2,400) and receive one extra free.
Freedas Limited – Affordable Brazilian and bikini waxing and threading services
Freedas may be no-frills but, with four locations across Hong Kong (including one in Discovery Bay), there’s a reason this salon is popular. If you’re looking for cheap waxing and threading, this is where to get it. Its therapists are certainly speedy, with one Sassy Mama Editor describing it as the fastest bikini wax she’s ever had (expect to pay around $270 for a Brazilian). And with upper lip threading from just $30 and eyebrow shaping from $65, what’s not to love! It may not be five-star luxury, but it definitely does the job.
Four Seasons Spa – Essential waxing and threading treatments aside from facials, massages and mani-pedis
The Spa at the Four Seasons is equally high-end (we recommend treating yourself to a manicure at its Nail Bar afterwards if it’s a special occasion). As well as a varied choice of massages and facials, it offers essential waxing and threading treatments. Again, it pays off to go mid-week so you can take advantage of the reduced prices on a Monday to Thursday (when bikini waxes cost $330 to $600, rather than $505 to $900 on Fridays to Sundays).
Glow Spa – Laser hair removal, IPL, Super Hair Removal and more
You’ll be spoilt for choice with the hair removal options at Glow Spa that caters to both men and women. Its experienced beauty therapists can do waxing, laser, IPL and even SHR (which stands for Super Hair Removal). The waxing services at this centrally-located salon range from $180 to $550, with a single session of IPL, laser and SHR starting from $460 to $3,520 per treatment, with packages available from $2,560 to $19,000.
Honeypot – Laser hair removal, IPL and bespoke waxing treatments
Honeypot has won itself a host of loyal followers across Asia since its first foray in Singapore in 2005, and now has salons in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Mongolia. With two convenient locations in Central and Causeway Bay, it offers a full suite of hair removal services from waxing to IPL and laser. But it’s the bespoke wax that really makes it stand out from the crowd. This in-house formula, specially created by certified Australian chemists using natural ingredients, is second to none.
Iyara – Waxing treatments for underarms, upper lip and bikini waxes
Iyara is perhaps best known for its foot massages, but it also has a full spa menu, which includes waxing. It will set you back $200 for small areas (think underarms and upper lip), with bikini waxes from $390 to $520. If you find you never have time to call up for an appointment, you can handily choose your nearest spa location online (Central or Mid-Levels) and request an appointment for your preferred date and time, with a backup option in case your first choice isn’t available.
Nu Waxing Workshop – Signature Brazilian bikini wax and more
Nu Waxing Workshop prides itself on its signature Brazilian bikini waxes (from $560), which it describes as “nearly painless”, but it offers various other waxing services too (including eyebrow waxes from $270). You’ll be able to choose whether you want to book with a senior or head therapist (expect to pay around $100 more for the head therapist). With a 50% discount on any waxing treatment for first-time visitors, there’s no reason not to try it out!

Nude Beautique – Customisable treatments including laser hair removal, waxing and more
Nude Beautique has provided hair removal services in Hong Kong since 2007, so you know you’re in good hands with the experts here! One of its most popular options is laser hair removal. This salon uses only medical-grade and FDA-approved systems for a treatment that is safe, fast and effective, with long-lasting results. Customer service is the salon’s top priority, and each therapist has been highly trained to give you a customised treatment that best suits your needs.
Sense of Touch – Laser hair removal and high quality waxing treatments
Sense of Touch has several locations in Hong Kong, including its five-storey flagship spa in LKF. It emphasises the high quality of its wax, which it says makes its Brazilian ($480) “almost painless”. Half-leg wax will set you back $350, but it offers a number of waxing combos that could save you money if you’re looking to have more than one area treated (e.g. you can get a Brazilian bikini with a half leg wax for $750).
Strip: Ministry of Waxing – An extensive laser hair removal, IPL and waxing treatment menu
With stores in ten cities across the globe (including Hong Kong, Singapore, London and New York), Strip: Ministry of Waxing has gained a reputation worldwide for making the process as painless as possible. You’ll even be given an animal stress ball to squeeze while your therapist gets to work. It has no less than seven different types of Brazilian (from $160 to $490 for women and from $240 to $790 for men), as well as waxing options for just about everybody part you can think of. The salon also has an extensive laser and IPL menu.
The Oriental Spa Hong Kong, The Mandarin Oriental – Luxurious waxing and threading services
You can expect quality in luxury surroundings from the Oriental Spa at the Landmark Mandarin. While you probably don’t want to waste a visit here on just hair removal (try to squeeze in a facial or massage too if your budget allows it), it does offer a full waxing and threading menu. It’s worth noting it’s slightly cheaper to go on a weekday, rather than at the weekend. Bikini waxes range from $350 to $550 on Mondays to Thursdays ($380 to $580 from Fridays to Sundays) and leg waxing from $350.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa – Bikini wax, full leg wax, Brazilian wax and more
To continue with the five-star hotel offerings, the Ritz-Carlton’s spa is another luxury hideaway, situated on the 116th floor of this hotel. It also increases its prices from Fridays through Sundays. But if you book a bikini wax during non-peak days (Monday to Thursday) it will cost $420 to $590, compared to $490 t0 $690 on peak days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
Waxnmore – Extensive waxing menu, brow shaping and more
The clue’s in the name for this relative newbie. It offers an extensive waxing menu, which starts from $60. Expect to pay between $250 to $420 for a bikini wax, depending on which type you choose. You can also get your threading done here, with prices starting from $90. We have it on good authority that the brow shaping ($180) is top-notch.
