Streets of Hong Kong

To capture the true flavour of this bustling city, step out onto the streets and take a family photo with taxis whizzing past and trams inching their way through the crowded roads. Most streets in Hong Kong have colourful and easily recognisable signs and if you wander around Soho, you will also see street art that always adds colour and warmth to pictures. Here are some of our favourites.

Central: Des Voeux Road

Sham Shui Po: Pei Ho Street

Tai Ping Shan: Off Hollywood Road

Temples & Parks

If you have spent any time at all in Hong Kong, chances are that you have visited some of its well-maintained parks and historic temples. Naturally beautiful, these offer rather serene settings for the festive season’s greeting cards.

Hollywood Road: Man Mo Temple

Admiralty: Marriage Registry at Hong Kong Park

Repulse Bay: Kwun Yam Shrine

Other Landmarks

Hong Kong offers an abundance of other landmarks, from the eye-catching Blue House in Wan Chai to the historic buildings that are now being repurposed as malls and cultural centres. Make a fun family outing of a visit to any of the following and snap up some beautiful memories as well. We’ve put together some of our favourite images (and poses!).

Tsim Sha Tsui: 1881 Heritage

Hollywood Road: Yue Po Chai Curios Store

Wan Chai: Blue House

These are just a few of our favourite spots from this seriously photogenic city. If you are looking for other traditional Hong Kong backdrops, you can never go wrong with the charming Star Ferry, the Victoria Harbour skyline or even one of the many beaches around the 852. Take your pick and get shooting.

Christmas mini sessions

Most of the images above have been taken by the city’s uber-talented photographers. If you’re looking for a photoshoot with the family, get in touch with them to find out about their Christmas mini sessions. They are seriously stress-free and take place in less than half an hour. For between $1,200 and $2,500, you can get yourself anywhere between six to 12 images that you will treasure for much longer than the festive season. These mini sessions can be conducted in locations ranging from Discovery Bay to Soho, Victoria Peak Gardens to Victoria Park. Some photographers offer printed cards, with others coming prepared with Christmas outfits for your little ones, but all are willing to spread the joy around with some specials and perks for the jolliest season of the year.

Take a look at our quick recap of the best Hong Kong-backdrops for your festive cards and get in touch with the photographer of your choice to find out what’s on offer.
