Deck the halls with boughs of holly… and get those diaries out, mamas, as we bring you our annual guide to all the holiday fairs and markets around town in the run up to Christmas. We suggest making your list and checking it twice before hitting up any of these so you have an idea of what you’re after for all your friends and family. Happy shopping!

JWA Annual Bazaar

Get started on your holiday shopping early at JWA’s Annual Bazaar. Shop clothes, shoes, hats, backpacks, accessories, toys, house ware and holiday gifts and decorations. Kiddos will have fun playing in the kids zone, and there will be delicious food for the whole family to nosh on. All proceeds from the bazaar will go to charities that support women and children at risk.

When: Sunday, 6 November, 2016, 10am-5pm

Petit Bazaar x Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation Charity Shopping Day

Shop ‘til you drop at Petit Bazaar this holiday season, as 10% of the proceeds will go be going to charity. While you shop, have a bite or two of the delish cakes from The Rose Petal Cakery. Petit Bazaar has great gifts for the little princes and princesses in your life: from your munchkins to nieces and nephews.

Discovery Bay Sunday Market

DB’s market is famous, so make sure you hop on a ferry and check out the first instalment over on Lantau. You’ll love the selection of unique gifts available! If you happen to stay for dinner at one of the restos in DB, you’ll enjoy a free ferry ride back to Central! The other two DB markets are on Sunday, 27 November and Sunday, 13 December, 2016.

Holiday Bazaar at The American Club

Southside mamas, ShoppingHongKong returns to The American Club for their annual bazaar. You’ll be able to grab some awesome presents for your loved ones back home or right here in the 852. If you can’t make this one, scroll down to find out about ShoppingHongKong bazaar at Fringe Club in December.

Christmas markets in Hong Kong: City Kids

City Kids Christmas Fair

That’s right, it’s holiday season, which calls for fun for the whole family! Here you’ll find everything from face-painting, shopping, crafts, and of course, lots of food… Yes, please!

Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar

Danish pastries are, well, the only kind of pastries to eat, so you’ll definitely want to check out the Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar, which promises to be full of these sweet-smelling delights! Shop from designer brands, buy Danish goodies and sweets, pick up those all-important Christmas decorations and ornaments and enjoy some live music. And the best bit is that all profits go to the Danish Seaman’s Church in Hong Kong.

Gift and Lifestyle Fair

The first in a series of holiday fairs at the Conrad Hotel, this is the place to shop for all your gifting needs! Pop-up stalls include jewellery, fashion, accessories, gourmet food, homewares and even stuff for kids. Some of our favourite brands will be there too: fashion brand Chicameo, the chocolatiers behind Schoggi Meier, homeware brand Thorn & Burrow, and our friend Turkish Towels among others. Oh, and if you want to stick around the Lobby Lounge at the hotel for lunch or afternoon tea, VIP shoppers get a 15% discount.

Christmas Shopping Market & Long Lunch

The Butchers Club Southside Market returns for a special Christmas edition this season. Not only will you get to enjoy an afternoon outdoors nomming on some delicious food, browse the stalls at the market on the 16/F. Pickup cookbooks, kitchenware and Butchers Club-branded aprons as well as booths of Hong Kong-based retailers and designers. Kiddos will be occupied with the arts and crafts session.

IL Mercatino – Italian Day at Sandy Bay

Following on from their incredible success last year (raising over 1 million HKD in one day!), The Italian Day at Sandy Bay is back for 2016 with an amazing range of Italian food, fashion and so much more. Organised by The Italian Women’s Association, be sure to expect a day filled with fun, laughter and of course, shopping! With 100% of the profit going to charity, it’s not one to be missed.

Island Five-0 Arts Festival

Island School’s traditional Winter Fair takes on a new form this year to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Celebrate with the alumni, staff and students at the Arts Festival, and take in musical performances, art exhibitions, film screenings and lots more theatre. Indulge your inner thespian while noshing on the international food on offer.

St Stephen’s Chapel Christmas Fete

A traditional English fete awaits you at St. Stephen’s College, in aid of the charities its sister chapel supports. Join in for bouncy castles, games, stalls, food, shopping and more. The highlight is definitely the Chinese lion dancers. Santa arrives by helicopter at 12.30pm, so make sure you’re there to witness the spectacle!

Come along to Sai Kung Sunday Market from 11am-5pm on Sunday, 4 December and join the party! It’s a great family fun day out with artisanal food and crafts, organic and handmade products, jewellery, wine, accessories, children’s clothing and more! It’s indoors as well, so it doesn’t matter what the weather is doing.

WIFA Annual Holiday Bazaar

Wellness 360 is back! This time, the organisers have partnered with Lee Garden Association, Hysan Development and GuavaPass for a holiday fair with a twist: the Christmas market will present ways you can live a healthy life even during this period of indulgence. Join in and be entertained, as there will be live dance and fitness performances. There will also be workout sessions available throughout the day so you can make a head start on those New Year resolutions.
