We’ve long been fans of Cosmo Beebies, an online shop selling everything new, innovative or just plain great that mums need to keep everything ticking – from clothes for mummies, babies and toddlers to nursery furniture, strollers, baby care products and just about everything in between!
They also have a flagship store in Central so its a great time to check out a few of the products that have got us reaching into our wallets and dropping meaningful hints about Christmas presents to Sassy Daddies?!
Attractive but practical nursing bras can often be hard to find… and American brand Bella Materna has one of the nicest ranges we’ve seen so far. Their T-Shirt Nursing Bras ($550) look – and feel! – great, with a light lining that hides nursing pad lines and moulded foam cups that stretch to your changing body. These have one-handed clasps with adjustable straps for easy nursing access, a four-stage back closure so they’ll last you even longer despite your changing shape, plus super-comfy Flexy Wires underwiring that allows easy flow from your milk ducts – and they come ‘Lactation Consultant’ approved!
Meanwhile, their Anytime Nursing Bralet (above $465) features another innovative yet pretty design for quick and easy nursing access – the wrap-over style front means you can just slide the cup edge to one side, rather than having to slip the whole shoulder off. It’s wire-free and has wide-set straps that ensure you’ll be ultra-comfortable whilst still being super-supported. The Anytime Nursing Camisole ($615) also features the same great design for easy nursing access but with a fabric that stretches out to accommodate pregnant bellies yet flows out to look just as fabulous afterwards. We love that it’s covered-up enough to wear as a comfy top (ideal for slouching around the house or for casual errand-running) but that it provides all the sterling support of a bra too.
All of these use the unique Bella Materna Strap Keep which supports your boobs whilst feeding and are made from a soft, stretchy and quick-drying Nylon/Lycra mix that doesn’t fade, pill or shrink in the wash either!
We’re also loving Dutch company Nuna, who bring chic and smart design to all their cool baby-gear. The ZAAZ high-chair ($2699) tucks under the table with the rest of your dining chairs and is totally size and height adjustable to grow with your baby for years of use. It has been subjected to extreme safety tests (putting 900kg of weight on the seat, adjusting the height up and down over 20,000 times, sliding the meal tray on and off over 3000 times – we don’t fancy that job much!) meaning it will definitely stand the test of time… plus toddler tantrums a-plenty! There are no nooks or crannies for bits of food to stay hidden in, whilst the funky colour options and cool sophisticated design make it a bit of a designer statement too; Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurants all use these and given the size of his brood, we guess he knows what he’s talking about!
Their newest product is the SENA travel cot ($2399), which we reckon should prove fantastic for HK mums on-the-go, especially given how hectic travelling here can get! Its unique zig-zag legs mean it folds up quickly and easily (using just one hand!) into a slick compact shape with zero fuss – so it’s perfect for HK’s limited space, and there’s also a mini version available for even tighter spaces too ($1899). Its frame has padded edges all-round to prevent any nasty finger pinches and it’s relatively easy to carry around (we think we might even be able to handle it on the MTR!) so if you’re planning on doing a lot of travelling in the up-coming holiday season, look no further.
