You may not have finished the Christmas planning yet, but it’s never too early to start thinking about where you’ll be this December 31st (with or without the kids)!

Where has this year gone? We can’t believe it’s December and that once again we are thinking about what to eat and drink (and more specifically, where!) this New Year’s Eve. Thankfully, Maximal Concepts has given us the low-down about what’s on offer and we already feel spoilt for choice. Its restaurants have created a range of menus, especially for the 31st December. They’re available for one-night only, so you’ll have to be quick. You might want to leave the kids at home for this one! Here’s a look at what to expect.

Blue • Butcher and Meat Specialist
You certainly won’t go hungry at Blue • Butcher and Meat Specialist with their all-you-can-eat starter and dessert buffet. There will be oyster stations, artisanal salads, cheeses and a charcuterie carving station. Guests can also pick their main course from a selection including pork belly porchetta with Italian sausage. Don’t forget to save some room for the dessert station (especially the signature red velvet cake).

Price: $495 plus 10% per person; additional free-flow package for $350

Limewood
Limewood has also chosen to go semi-buffet style. We think kids and adults alike will love the DIY taco and BBQ stations (the beef ribs with mango BBQ glaze sound yummy). Don’t fill up too much on all that because you’ll want to leave room for the signature Limewood churros! The best bit? Diners will get a complimentary glass of champagne.

Price: $450 plus 10% per person; additional free-flow package for $350

The Flying Elk
The Flying Elk is going Swedish-style for its first NYE in Hong Kong. The restaurant’s head chef has created a delicious 4-course dinner menu. We’re intrigued by the red deer with truffle ponzu starter. Then there’s a choice of cod or beef rib rossini for main and Eton Mess is dessert. For added fun, there will also be a Stockton bar takeover between 6pm and 9pm.

Price: $495 plus 10% per person

Brickhouse

Brickhouse
Brickhouse will be extending it’s a la carte menu until 1am on NYE, so you can just keep those tacos and tostadas coming. Certain drinks will be $70 all night (including margaritas), and there will be a tequila toast at midnight. If you’re booking table earlier in the evening with the kids, there’s a complimentary taco platter for those dining between 6pm and 8pm.

Price: A la carte pricing for food; Brickhouse special drinks (margarita, diabla, fresca) $70 all night

Mercedes me
Mercedes me is ideally situated for those planning to party into the small hours in Lan Kwai Fong. The restaurant will be passing round free-flow light bites, snacks and desserts between 8pm and 11pm (for just $150). A number of drinks will be priced between $50 and $100, including Perrier Jouet champagne, wine, beer, house spirits and two specialty cocktails.

Price: $150 plus 10% per person (8pm – 11pm) with $50 – $100 drinks all night

John Anthony
You’ll be greeted with a signature-infused gin and tonic or glass of champagne at John Anthony (start as you mean to go on, we say). There are two types of tasting menu on offer, either 10-course or 13-course, and you’ll be sampling dishes like beef short rib cha siu and crispy free range chicken with foie gras. Vegetarian and gluten-free menus are also available.

Price: 10-course tasting menu $690; 13-course tasting menu $980
