Lamma Mia Celebrating Island Life On Lamma Island

Do your Lamma Island trips typically start and end at busy Yung Shue Wan on a weekend or holiday? Follow the family trail, or take a ferry directly to Sok Kwu Wan instead and embrace the traditional lifestyle of this scenic fishing village. To celebrate and educate this lesser-known side of the island, 15 artists have been commissioned to create interactive artworks and hold workshops inspired by elements of nature and the rich culture of Lamma life. Be sure to pick up the public art booklet which contains 12 oral histories of local islanders including Villagers, Water People, Bay People and Incomers.

There are free guided tours available (suitable for families with kids aged 8 and above), but there are limited tours in English so you will need to book in advance.
