Malvern College Hong Kong (MCHK) is holding a series of events for children to engage in different experiences – both physically and creatively. With the Rugby Day coming up, we had to share info about this action-packed afternoon! Malvern College Hong Kong promotes a holistic education, so the educators encourage students to experience a wide variety of activities outside the classroom, including Sports, Science, Creative Arts, Higher-Order Thinking etc.
In line with MCHK’s qualities of resilience, collaboration, and risk-taking, it’s no surprise that rugby is playing a big part in the school’s sports curriculum. The skills, knowledge, and experience gained from playing rugby are transferable to the classroom and more importantly, to life. Rugby promotes tolerance of discomfort, the demand for selflessness to meet team goals and creates moments of magic remembered for a lifetime. It’s a perfect sport to teach character education, because it’s built on collaboration and respect. Two things every parent is in full support of!
Bring along your sportswear, trainers (without spikes), lots of water, and join in this fun and exciting day!
Each session will be around an hour long. Sessions run from 1:30pm to 2:30pm; and 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
