Zara Shopping Challenge

1. ZaraCollage

Suede court ankle boot, $1199; Zara

Your shopping challenge this week, should you choose to accept, is to track down this Zara court ankle boot in red suede. They’re due to be arriving in store this week and they’ve been spotted in black but not in this show-stopping red. (The ultimate challenge would be to find them in a size 40 which is extremely RARE in Hong Kong… almost extinct in fact!) Bag them before they go, Goddesses!

The ultimate winter warmer

2. MassimoCollage

We’ve just booked our flights back to the UK for Christmas and the prospect of my first properly cold winter in five years is literally sending shivers down my spine. BUT this leather coat from Massimo Dutti’s NYC limited collection (available in store in HK) – surely has to be the ultimate in luxe cosiness, in 100% top quality softer-than-a-baby’s-bum lamb leather. And it might just take the edge off the prospect of that bracing winter. It’s just a shame about the whopping price tag… $10,990… Ouch!

Needle & Thread

Don’t worry, no sewing required! With party season and all that sparkles fast approaching, I’ve just discovered a new brand on ASOS called Needle & Thread. Exclusive to ASOS, Needle & Thread, based both in London and Delhi, produce beautifully designed dresses with lots of embellishment and sparkle. Just what the doctor ordered for that Christmas party…

3. Needle & Thread Collage 1

Left to right: Mexican mini skirt, $1340; Jewel embellished skirt, $1765.

4. Needle & Thread Collage 2

Left to right: Etch midi dress in plum, $2825; Geo pearl era midi dress, $2825.

If you’re not already on ASOS’s mailing list, get on it pronto as they often offer limited time discounts, which would make a noticeable dent in these prices.

And the last word…

The black tux with gold metallic collar below popped into my inbox from River Island earlier in the week and I thought it was worthy of a mention… If it’s not your cup of tea then the black ruched-hem trousers below are a comfy staple that will boost any wardrobe. Wear them with a white top and a statement necklace, pop on those heels and you’ll be Instant Goddess ship-shape and ready to go in no time at all!

5. RiverIslandCollage

Black metallic collar tux blazer approx. $680; Black ruched hem trousers $345, both River Island.

River Island ship to Hong Kong for a flat rate of approx. $120, taking up to 10 days.

Midweek Meal Inspiration

This week it’s Bill Grainger’s Spicy Prawn Stir Fry. It’s “like a cross between a curry and a stir-fry, this is rich and satisfying but still crunchy and alive.” Sounds good to the Instant Goddess, and relatively healthy as well. So, get your wok out and give it a whirl!

Until next week Goddesses you are ALWAYS, ALWAYS worth it! XX
