Get ready for some educational family time with these fun and free workshops!
Think you might have the next winner of The Voice in your family? Or perhaps the next top-scoring NBA star? If so, it’s good to know that the school you choose for their educational journey will nurture and encourage their natural talents, alongside teaching core subjects.
With a broad and balanced international American curriculum, Stamford American School Hong Kong understands the importance of keeping students happy by learning in a way that works for them. Catering to children from ages 5 to 18, it follows an inquiry-based curriculum framework that supports every individual ability. But what better way to find out what it would be like for your child to attend this school, than by rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in.
If you’re looking for a Saturday morning of family fun, head to the Stamford campus where you’ll find a range of free interactive workshops for kids aged 4 to 15. It will give parents and kids alike the chance to see what they can expect from the school. With drop-in or pre-booked groups, from art to basketball, drama to STEM, there’s plenty of options to keep all interests happy!
Open to all current and non-Stamford families, this is a great opportunity to get a hands-on understanding of what it’s like to be a Stamford student, through a range of engaging workshops led by its highly experienced faculty and expert partners.
Got an entrepreneurial teen on your hands? Sign them up for the Innovation Lab Experience, or explore the STEM workshops with MakerBay (the Hong Kong-based group that encourages innovative ideas and concepts with a social and environmental impact). Aspiring athletes can try their hand at basketball, or a taster session with a Master from NRG Taekwondo Korea. While budding artists can make their own masterpieces during the art workshops, try a music group or enjoy an interactive storytelling session.
Snap a family-selfie in the photo booth, meet and chat to faculty members and even take a tour (offered every 30 minutes) to explore the campus. After spending the morning with the team, you’ll be sure to find out why Stamford students continue to exceed their growth targets and arrive at school eager to learn.
