Give Your Kids A M.usical School Break With M.int Academy’s Summer Offerings

Activities designed to hit all the right notes with kids of all ages.

This summer, M.int Academy is offering budding young musicians an ensemble of student-first courses. There are classes for students entirely new to music, novice musicians, and even the most experienced artists looking to push their talents to the next level! Best of all you can sign up for just one week depending on your summer plans!

Whether you’re satisfying a curiosity or looking to dive deep into the world of music, M.int Academy has a course for you. All of M.int Academy’s instructors are musicians recruited from top conservatories around the world and offer individualised teaching, catered to students’ different needs. From Monday, 1 July to Friday, 9 August 2019, choose from a set of camps, each designed with a particular age and skill level in mind.

With a range of options, you’re sure to find the right fit for your little musician. Choose from:

• Seedlings (ages 2.5 to 4) and Sprout Campers (ages 5 to 7 years)
  Following weekly themes, students will build their musical understanding through songs, musical expression, and the exploration of sounds, vocabulary and instruments. They’ll also get early exposure to the major composers.
• Mini (ages 4 to 5) & Junior Explorers (ages 6 to 7 years)
  If you know your child has talent, but you’re unsure of which musical path to take, this is the ideal course to pick! Students get hands-on experience (with just enough theory to spark curiosity) with the most popular and age-appropriate instruments.
• M.int Explorers (age 8 and above)
  These happy campers have up to three private instrumental trials per week, as well as songwriting and film music analysis lessons. Daily choir sessions with Instrumental Campers promise to be a whole lot of fun while giving important practice and boosting community spirit.
• Instrumental Campers (age 8 and above)
  This specialist course is designed for students looking to hone their craft, and those pursuing higher musical achievements such as ABRSM exams or competitions. This camp, which includes three one-on-one lessons per week, also places students in chamber music groups with others of similar abilities. Tiered classes (beginner, intermediate and advanced) include ear-training, dictation, harmony, analysis and music history. For students of performing standard,  they will have the opportunity to present their individual and group work at the end of the week for families and friends at the on-site auditorium.

Life can get pretty hectic trying to juggle timings during the summer holidays (we know how it is). To make your life easier you have the flexibility of booking the camps by week (minimum of one week) – ideal to fit around your travel plans!
