Hear from learning specialists about what makes Shrewsbury International School’s Mandarin programme unique

Growing up in Hong Kong has many benefits. From access to arguably the best eats around town to its proximity to all the best family travel spots in Southeast Asia. Our kiddos are growing up in an environment that caters to multiple cultures and ethnicities while expanding their viewpoints and perspectives each day. One of the greatest benefits definitely has to be their exposure to multiple languages. Most parents can agree that learning Mandarin is not only important because we live in Hong Kong, but because it is the language spoken by a majority of this world’s population.

While looking for a school that is best suited for your family, the Mandarin programme often takes an important priority when considering where to send your child. Shrewsbury International School values the importance of having a strong language curriculum that is a unique blend of traditional education values and innovative teaching practices to ensure your children can reach their potential. Shrewsbury International School integrates Mandarin into the core of its curriculum with daily Mandarin lessons for every student starting from Nursery (3 years old) and up.

This Fall, Shrewsbury International School will be running specialist information sessions on its engaging and motivating Mandarin Programme from Thursday, 19 October to Friday, 20 October. For prospective parents, this is the perfect opportunity to come and inquire more about the Mandarin programme in the early and primary years for students aged 3 to 11.

Hear from specialist teachers and bring along any questions or concerns you may have. The curriculum and how it’s integrated into the daily learning will be explained as well as details of how learning outcomes are measured. Make sure to head along to one of the sessions to understand the unique programme better. The sessions will be held at the Shrewsbury International School Hong Kong Admissions Office conveniently located in Central.

Shrewsbury International School will be opening it’s doors in Tseung Kwun O in August 2018 and are accepting applications for places between Nursery and Year 6 now.
