A back-to-school shopping event with BoConcept and hear from Ruth Benny of Top Schools

Even though school is already back in session, it’s never too early to think about your child’s next steps! Lucky for us, school expert and Head Girl of Top Schools, Ruth Benny has us covered. Join her on Thursday, 21 September for a morning of learning about applications and bilingual education whilst enjoying light refreshments and back to school shopping at BoConcept!

We’ve always been big fans of the Danish modern design furniture shop, BoConcept. Every piece of furniture, artwork, and bedding is unique, high-quality and all at affordable prices. This brand really does tick all the boxes! What’s more, you can customise and choose from coordinated pieces for your entire home (including your child’s bedroom or study). Trust us, the back to school items on offer will make you want to return to school too! We’re talking about everything from bookshelves to desks, chairs and more.

At this special event held at BoConcept’s Central store from 10am-11am, the resident interior designer will also be on hand to offer designing tips to create the ultimate study space. We get it mamas; homework time is rarely a highlight in our homes either – at least we can help our kiddos in a functional and beautiful room while we’re at it!

What more can we ask for? You’re invited to an intimate session with school expert, Ruth Benny as she talks about the topic, ‘Finding the Fit: How to Get into a Top International School’ where she’ll discuss the varying primary and secondary school application process and bilingual education in Hong Kong. Plus, you’ll also get to have any questions answered after Ruth’s talk! The best bit? An opportunity to shop study furniture and accessories to ensure your child’s bedroom is study-ready.

Sassy Mama PerkFor everyone that registers for this event below, you will receive 20% off your entire purchase plus a free gift for each participant! Yes, please!

We've been looking for clever ways for the whole family to eat more veggies.... purple pasta might do the trick! ⠀
Insta-Worthy Sweet Potato Pasta 💜
1 cup of purple sweet potato, or orange (which is easier to work with texture wise i find) steamed or roasted ⠀⠀
1-1 1/2 cup of unsweetened plant milk (but we'll use regular)⠀⠀
1 clove of roasted garlic ⠀⠀
1-2 tablespoon nutritional yeast flakes ⠀
1 tablespoon of olive oil or vegan butter ⠀
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice ⠀⠀
1 teaspoon smoked paprika ⠀⠀
pinch of sea salt (to taste) ⠀⠀
pinch of black pepper (to taste) ⠀⠀
Blend all your ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth, adjusting the thickness to your liking by adding less or more (plant) milk. Adjust seasonings to your preference also, and serve over freshly cooked pasta. This sauce is best enjoyed right away, as it can clump and change in texture after being refrigerated.⠀⠀
