Stuck at home with the kids and wondering how to keep them busy without splashing out on indoor play centres? We’ve already given you some inspiration in our guide to what to do at home when the weather’s bad. But here’s something fun for any Star Wars fans out there. Try our special Star Wars themed arts and crafts activity, and your little Darth Vaders and Princess Leias will thank you (or at least not poke you with a lightsabre).

Princess Leia Mask

Step 1: Sketch out the hairline and two circles for eye holes. Using your pen knife, cut the circles out.

Step 2: Paint the bottom half of the plate where the face will be in beige. Once that is completely dry, you can start painting in the hair area with the brown paint.

Step 3: Make sure that the paint is dried down before using a pink crayon to colour in two oval shapes for the cheeks. For the mouth, you can draw a small heart shape with a red crayon.

Step 4: Cut out the brown circles provided in the printable. Attached the circles to the side of the plate for Princess Leia’s famous hair buns. For the final step, tape the popsicle stick to the back of the plate.
