Sassy Mama Kids’ Book Club: My Very Own Fairy Tale By Maia Haag

Parties & PlayPost Category - Parties & PlayParties & Play - Post Category - IndoorIndoor

This book proves that fairy tales really do come true! As we all know, a favourite pastime of many a little girl is to play dress-up as a Princess, and dream of becoming one. In this cleverly written and wonderfully illustrated book, your little girl becomes just that – the very Princess that the Mulberry Fairy gets all her other fairies to describe and name.

The Mulberry Fairy is the head fairy, and she asks all her fairy followers to describe the girl they’d like to crown with a flower tiara and a Princess gown. As the book progresses, your little one meets each fairy, who in turn, describes the lucky little Princess-to-be. Each fairy describes an attribute or characteristic that explains why this special girl should be Princess; and holding the letter that matches their chosen attribute, they gradually spell out the name of your little Princess.

When my little girl realised that she was the chosen Princess, her audible gasp of delight really made for a special moment to cherish! Definitely a bedtime favourite in our house, this would make a wonderful gift for the child who has everything as it is completely personalised, and can also help with spelling, and learning the alphabet.

The book is published by I See Me! Inc who specialise in personalised children’s books, and it’s not just about the girls! Other books in the series include: My Very Own Name (an animal-themed tale that our editor’s 2-year-old son loves), My Very Own Pirate Tale, The Super, Incredible Big Brother, The Incredible Big Sister, The World According to Me, Who Loves Me? God Loves You!, A Christmas Bear for Me and A Hanukkah Bear for Me.

If you find yourself stuck for a truly thoughtful birthday gift, need something special to treat a child with a brand new sibling or want to stock up on something out of the ordinary for holiday presents, the I See Me! range of personalised books is definitely worth a look.
