Stuck for camps and workshop ideas for your little munchkins? Take a look at Bebegarten, Southside’s newest learning space who have bucketloads of fun, interesting and most importantly, educational programmes on offer for kids from 3 all the way up to 16 years!

Teeny-tinies from 6 up to 36 months are well provided for, with summer playgroup sessions for Crawlers, Movers and Toddlers. Once past the toddling stage, there are three exciting 2-week long educational camps with engaging themes that kids from 3 to 9 are bound to love.

Bebegarten Chocolate Factory gets kids designing a fictional factory of delights… Willy Wonka, eat your heart out! Bebegarten Kingdom will have your little adventurers exploring the world, meeting exciting new friends and journeying through history. Finally, The Boy Who Fell Out of the Book sets imaginations running free as kids strive to help a confused character to navigate his way around his environment. All three programmes draw on differing elements of art, crafts, story-telling, drama, sensory play, group games, sports and music, so it’s easy to choose a well-rounded programme that works best for your child.

Older kids from 10 to 16 years will delight in the Discovering Drama camp, that will explore different theatrical styles and techniques to extend any budding actor’s range, or the Sure! Social Skills sessions that help with social interaction, problem solving and confidence building in a fun and interactive way that kids can really engage with.

Parents and caregivers aren’t forgotten either! The one-day Up!Bringing Workshop, headed up by a Psychologist helps to enhance parental bonds with children by improving lines of communication and acts as a taster for the upcoming Up!Bringing course that begins in the autumn, while the Vibrant Foods class discusses snacking as part of a healthy diet, and offers tips, recipes and samples to try at home. For helpers, the Vital Foundations 2-day course covers everything needed to ensure that the whole family is getting the right nutrition, and that kids snacks are chosen in a knowledgeable way.
