EatPost Category - EatEat

With Hong Kong as the gateway to China, it’s never been more important to ensure that our kids are proficient in the business language of the future! Finding a place that teaches Putonghua is easy, but finding a place that adopts a modern approach to teaching a traditional language is hard… that’s why we’re excited to hear about Southside Mandarin – a light and bright language learning centre situated in One Island South at Wong Chuk Hang.

If you’re looking for the right fit for your kid to develop their Mandarin skills, then Southside Mandarin should definitely be on your radar! With classes suitable for munchkins from 6 months to 7 years old, there’s bound to be a session that your kiddo will love. The learning environment is fun and interactive and their Putonghua playgroups and programmes use sensory integration exercises, flashcards, creative arts and enrichment games to help your little ones learn while they play!

All classes are taught by native Putonghua-speaking teachers; professionally qualified in their field, with extensive early childhood education experience. Classes are small, with a student-teacher ratio of just 1:4, so you can be sure that your little learner gets all the help and attention they need to hone their language skill.

Not in the market for Putonghua classes? Then check out their Chinese Arts and Crafts programme, a one-of-a-kind course that offers quality art classes taught in Putonghua. Other fun and fascinating kids courses on offer include Poem Recital and KPCC/GAPSK Certificate Exam Preparation –an educational and entertaining way to keep little ones busy… and mama happy!
