Summertime of course means loads of family fieldtrips like jaunts to the beach, summer festivals and parades, and visits to theme parks. But even with all the fun and games, safety is never far from a mama’s mind. This reminder hit home for me just last week at a 4th of July parade near our summer home where, as were securing a place to watch the festivities, a young mother hurried by in a panic asking bystanders if they had seen her small daughter…it was a sad and scary moment to witness and quite the reality check.
The truth is that even the most vigilant parents can find themselves in this situation. And today we’re passing on a little something to help give extra peace of mind: personalised safety ID bracelets from one of our new favourite online shops, Babatude. These simple (and actually rather chic) bracelets feature a little silver plaque that you has your child’s name and your mobile hand-stamped on it. You can also add another number to the back. The bracelets are secured with a knotted wax cord that can’t be easily removed – and isn’t likely to slip off even the most active little one’s tiny wrist.
Personalising the bracelet is easy – you can choose from 12 cord colours (an extra one is also included) and you can also add another little charm if you’d like to have it do double duty as a friendship-type bracelet.
Babatude’s Child Safety ID bracelets start at HK$425. See all the options and place an order on their website here.
