Things we’re coveting this month…
Phew, this year is flying by – we’re nearly in September, and the kids are settling back into school. It’s been one looong summer for us at Sassy Mama HQ, so of course, we’ve made a list of what we want (a little early to check it twice, though). Think luxurious smellies and jewels we simply need to soft blankies for our bubba. We’ve got it all here in What Sassy Mama Wants!
Cowshed’s Grumpy Cow Uplifting Body Lotion
Feeling a bit worn out, mama? So are we! Check out Cowshed’s Grumpy Cow Uplifting Body Lotion, which has a delicious citrus blend of red mandarin and grapefruit. It’s super moisturising as well made with shea and cocoa butter… great to soothe dry skin that’s been in the air conditioning all summer.
Available for $390 at the Spa by the Four Seasons, 8 Finance Street, Central, Hong Kong, or online here.

It’s back to school and back to work season. Refresh your accessories with these cushion border-set studs from Bellissima HH. The topaz earrings are simple enough to wear on the school run and will take you to back-to-back meetings at the office through to dinner with the hubby. The setting is rhodium-plated sterling silver with a 3-carat cushion shape yellow stone.

Atelier Child’s The Camo
Babies love their little comforts, whether it’s a soft toy that they were given from a relative at birth or a wooly blankie that they just can’t be without. Atelier Child has some great options for beautiful and lusciously soft cashmere-blend blankets. We love this camo blanket, which comes in blue and pink. The pastel colours will complement any crib while keeping your bubba cosy.
Available for $1,387.84 online here.
Para’Kito’s Kids’ Collection
It’s back to school season and one thing that might have slipped off the shopping list was mosquito repellent. Yep, believe it or not, kids still have to partake in PE at school and can be prone to nasty red bites on the playground at break time. French brand Para’Kito has launched a kids’ collection of their wristbands in bright patterns. We love the one with the pirates on it. The size is just right for small wrists (or ankles), too. Simply slip one of their pellets into the wristband (made up of 7 natural essential oils to ward off those mozzies) and your tot is good to go.
Available for $160 (one wrist band and two pellets) at Bumps to Babes, Mothercare and select Mannings pharmacies. A packet of two replacement pellets is for $103. Each pellet lasts up to 15 days.
Nespresso’s Pixie machine and Clips
Mama needs her cup o’ joe. Every. Morning. Sometimes, it’s the only way to get through those sleepless nights with feeding and changing. That paper cup of java each day can get expensive, which is why we’re in love with the Pixie from Nespresso. It’s super compact, great for your shoebox-sized flat in the 852 and will have your coffee piping hot and in your mug in under a minute. The best part is that you can change up the machine with the accompanying Pixie Clips to suit the style of your kitchen and home. Now, make room on your sofa, we’re coming over for a cup of that sweet, sweet caffeine.
The Nespresso Pixie is $1,988 (comes with two clips) and the separate Pixie Clips start from $180. Available exclusively at the Festival Walk branch of Nespresso until Monday, 7 September, when they’ll be available at all Nespresso boutiques around HK.
Jax Coco Chips
Looking for healthy snacks to put in the little one’s lunchbox? Let them go coco-nuts with the brand spankin’ new (and deliciously healthy) toasted coconut chips from Jax Coco. The chips will give tiny tykes a burst of energy at school while keeping their tums satisfied. The fussiest of eaters will find a flavour they love, be it sea salt, wasabi or chilli and lime. These handy packets make the perfect gluten-free and vegan snack.
Available at Green Common for $14.50 a bag, or online here for $174 for a box of 12 bags.
