Where to entertain your kids this month.
One of the perks of living in a big city is that there is always something to do. October marks Breast Cancer Awareness month so expect to see lots of pink-themed events around town. A great one to get the kids involved in is the annual Pink Walk For Breast Health up on the Peak. Continuing our pink theme, there’s never been a better time to head out to Tung Chung and go searching for the endangered Hong Kong pink dolphins. Want to get the little ones interested in the arts? Let them try their hand at calligraphy. Or head out to Tuen Mun for the HK Philharmonic Society’s rendition of Peter and the Wolf. Rounding out the month is everyone’s favourite spooky holiday, Halloween! Get the kids excited with a visit to Disneyland’s Halloween celebrations.

Hong Kong’s famous pink dolphins are under threat — now more than ever before! Hong Kong Dolphin Watch has been providing eco-tours to view these marvellous endangered creatures in their natural habitat for over 20 years. Your day out includes pick up from Tsim Sha Tsui (if needed), around three hours at sea looking for dolphins onboard a modern vessel and light refreshments.
The kids (and mum and dad!) will love a refreshing morning out on the water. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to go dolphin watching, now is the time to support both the endangered dolphins and an important local business.
