Here’s what to expect at our Mama Marketplace event!

As we hope you already know, for one day only on Saturday, 25 May, we will be popping up at the Hive Spring in Wong Chuk Hang from 11am to 5pm for our family-friendly Mama Marketplace event. We’ll be joined by a host of Hong Kong brands and entrepreneurs, who’ll be selling everything from clothing and accessories to homeware and eco products (keep reading to get an idea of what brands you can expect to see there).

There’ll be plenty of fun and games for the kids as we’ll be joined by Minisport HK, whose early year sports coaches will be running the mini sport free play zone, fantastic for children who like to experiment with sports equipment and make up games with their friends!

The team at Baumhaus will also be joining us to run Kindermusik sessions for children aged 0-2 and 3-6. Join them for a mix of music and movement activities which engage your child’s mind, body and heart. The first session will begin at 2.30pm so make sure you’re there in plenty of time to get your little one booked in!

Plus, there’ll be lots of opportunities for the little ones to get creative with free colouring and crafts activities, and Karen from Avatar Facepaint will also be there throughout the day. Make sure you check out her designs in advance on her website!

Supporting local businesses and bringing the Hong Kong community together is one of the things we strive to do here at Sassy Mama, so not only is Mama Marketplace going to be a great family day out (and just ten minutes on the MTR from Admiralty), but it’s totally free to attend.

As an added bonus, the first 100 registered attendees who turn up on the day will be given a goody bag, packed full of treats from some amazing businesses (the early bird catches the worm and all that!). And because we love to give back to our loyal readers, there will also be lots of great raffle prizes to win throughout the day from brands including Gift Something HK, Discover Wines Asia, Oaks of Acorn, Sempimimi, Merci Dandy and more! Cross your fingers for good weather, because there’s a beautiful terrace where you can take a breather from all that retail therapy and chill (dads we’re looking at you!). Of course, there will also be some excellent food and drink vendors, including our friends from Schragel’s Bagels and Peroni, who’ll both be on hand to satisfy your cravings and quench your thirst, any time you need an energy boost.
