Central is transforming into a vibrant Halloween playground blending art and culture! Head to Chater Road for a family carnival, outdoor music party and wellness experience day. Don’t forget to stop by Statue Square Gardens to snap some memorable photos with the large-scale art installations, including giant eyeballs, a mysterious gateway and a haunted jail.

Hong Kong Halloween Month — Kai Tai Sports Park
Dress up the whole family (and even your furry friends!) for a massive Halloween celebration. Kai Tak Sports Park will feature family-friendly activities, a dedicated pet photo zone, neon light installations and a Halloween-themed marketplace. Head there during the day on Saturday, 31 October for special trick-or-treat activities, a treasure hunt and professional body painting experiences.

Hong Kong Halloween Month – Festive Free Rides on Open-Top Buses and Trams
To make getting around the festivities even more fun, the city is offering complimentary Halloween night rides. Citybus will run a Halloween-themed open-top sightseeing bus route calling at major festive hotspots on Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon, while Hong Kong Tramways will open two themed Halloween party trams running between Causeway Bay and Sheung Wan. The best part? Visitors who turn up in creative Halloween or festive attire can hop on board and ride completely for free!

Hong Kong Halloween Month – Next Stop, Mong Kok! Langham Place Halloween Street Fest
Mong Kok is hosting its largest Halloween street party yet! Kids will love the trick-or-treat activities, trendy sticker tattoo experiences, and the giant “Mong Kok Haunted MiniBus” installation created by designer-toy artist DANSIN. Come hungry so the whole family can enjoy Halloween-inspired Hong Kong delicacies like innovative egg waffles, themed snacks, and limited-edition desserts.

Ocean Park Halloween Fest 2026 — The Grave Rave!
Ocean Park is going big for Halloween with Halloween Fest 2026: The Grave Rave, serving up family-friendly fun by day and decidedly spookier thrills after dark. Daytime festivities kick off on Saturday, 5 September, with younger visitors able to join the Bulu Boo Trick-or-Treat Party for sweets and take on the Trick or Roll Game, while nighttime experiences run on selected dates from Friday, 9 October to Sunday, 1 November.
For older kids, teens and brave parents, this year’s headline attraction is Under the Castle, created in collaboration with Jackson Wang, alongside the neon 3D Voodoo Boo Terror Park, the Hong Kong horror-inspired Troublesome Night 8, the bone-chilling Forbidden Asylum and a packed programme of live performances, cosplay and roaming entertainment.

Spooky Halloween 2026 Music Carnival
Hong Kong’s Halloween Music Carnival is back and taking over the Wan Chai Harbourfront! While the Main Stage music area is strictly for those 18 and older, families can head straight to the dedicated Carnival Zone for some spooky fun. The Family Zone is packed with kid-friendly activities, featuring a massive Halloween bouncy castle and slide, alongside a variety of themed booth games and food stalls from popular local vendors.

On Hong Kong Island, Mid-Levels and Happy Valley are always brimming with little ghouls and goblins. If you are based in the New Territories or Outlying Islands, you can count on lively trick-or-treating crowds across Tseung Kwan O, Clearwater Bay, Sai Kung. And, of course, the ultimate island Halloween hub, Discovery Bay.

Many of Hong Kong’s large residential complexes organise their own internal, community-led trick-or-treating routes. If you don’t live in a big complex yourself, now is the time to reach out to friends who do! Family-centric hubs like Hong Kong Parkview and often transform their corridors and courtyards into safe, festive candy trails for resident kids and invited pals.
Shops, Restaurants & Town Squares
You don’t necessarily have to knock on apartment doors to score a haul! Local shopkeepers, boutique owners and restaurateurs frequently join in the fun by putting out candy buckets for costume-clad kids passing by. Some of the best pedestrian-friendly spots to stroll with little ones include:

Sassy Mama Tip: Something we’ve noticed while trick-or-treating around Sai Kung town is that kids will often swap candy directly with each other as their unique way of trick-or-treating! It definitely confused our kids at first, as they were a little protective over their hard-earned stash. That is until they realised trading was their ticket to scoring extra chocolate bars!
