Create, Learn, Bond And Play: Bring The Family Together With Casita

If your little one loves music and movement, and you want to nurture your children’s  sense of wonder through  classes and free-play  you are bound to love Casita..

There’s a new sanctuary for Hong Kong families – Casita in Sheung Wan! Combining music and movement with open-ended sensory play, its classes are the first of their kind in Hong Kong.

The classes offered are a mix of the internationally-acclaimed Zumbini (an age-specific music program from the team behind Zumba) with Casita’s own PODS – Play Orientated Discovery Sessions. The music element is a great way for kids to be exposed to music, rhythm, instruments, singing and dancing, allowing them the freedom of expression and enhancing their creativity.

This is paired with fun sensory and messy play. They can explore and discover the world around them through arts, crafts and STEM activities. Filled with fun and energy, you can be assured  that you are contributing to your child’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development.

There are 45-minute classes for babies under one, hour-long sessions for the “Wanderers” aged 1 to 3 years, and an unaccompanied class for kids 3 to 4 years – a great way to set them up for success as they get ready to start their school life. Next term, age groups will be as follows: Babies – 1 year (Tumblers), 1-2 year olds (Wanderers) and 2-3 year olds (Explorers) and 3 and up (Wunderspace Workshop).

Families are at the core of Casita’s philosophy and with this in mind it offers “Family Time” classes for kids aged 0 to 6 years. Parents and mixed-age siblings are welcome to attend to join in the musical and sensory fun!

Fostering the curiosity and creative nature of our children, Casita also offers Wunderspace Workshops. During these one hour mixed aged classes (kids must be at least two years old), children take the lead and are encouraged to collaborate as they create a collaborative child-led art piece that will surely tap into your child’s sense of wonder and creativity. There’s a focus on using recycled materials and celebrating each artistic creation. Your kids will be having so much fun they won’t even know they are picking up fine motor skills, resilience, problem solving, communication skills, mindfulness interpersonal and social skills!

Casita’s beautiful space is also available for free-play sessions as well, just be sure to call ahead to make sure the area is available.

Classes in the Fall term are available now until 19 December 2021. Winter term starts on 10 January and runs until 1 April, 2022. Book your space before Friday, 10 December to take advantage of the early bird discount!
