One of the great brands at the recent Summer at The Space event was Copa Cabbana, a new range of beauty products created by Hong Kong’s own Jennifer Sossna-McGrath. Jennifer’s inspiration for Copa Cabbana came when she was trying to find products to put in her welcome hampers for her wedding guests when she was getting married in Thailand – she ended up coming across people who could help her make her own, and the line has grown from there. Copa Cabbana’s aim is to provide natural and affordably priced products that make you feel alive, youthful and good! Inspired by the amount of mass-produced, overly chemical products on offer in Hong Kong’s stores, Copa Cabbana’s goodies only contain quality essential oils, so the scents in them are totally natural, and they won’t cause skin irritations, especially important if you have sensitive skin.
Copa Cabbana’s products are made in small batches, not animal tested and are freshly hand blended to ensure quality and consistency. The packaging is very simple, and made from recycled or recyclable materials, but will still look very pretty on your bathroom shelf!
I tried out the Mommies Body Scrub (HK95) which is a very fine-grained and gentle exfoliator which was extremely pleasant to use – I sometimes find exfoliators can be too harsh and feel rough on my skin, but the Mommies Body Scrub is so delicate I even used it on my face. I also tried out the Fig Tea Bubble Bath (HK120) in my daughter’s bath which produced a great amount of bubbly foam which she was thrilled with! The scent was quite strong for a baby product, but I was reassured by the fact that the product is natural, and her sensitive skin was lovely and soft afterwards.
