How can you tell the age of a Chinese white dolphin? By  its teeth? The size of its blowhole? Or how much it eats? Why is it also called a Pink Dolphin? For the answers to these and other questions about HK’s most loved sea mammals, join the WWF on a Dolphin Watch Tour.

A great way to beat the heat, get the kids out of the house, and  have them learn a bit while they’re at it, these 4-hour trips are led by experienced nature interpreters who will help you spot these lovely dolphins and to get to know more about them and the life challenges they face in HK waters.

Places are limited so it’s best to book early. Tickets run HK$380 for adults and HK$ 190 for a child under 12, while infants and children below 3 are free.  A number of special discounts are available too, including those for seniors and full times students, so be sure to ask – and if you buy 5 full-fare adult tickets you’ll receive a 6th adult ticket for FREE! Included in your ticket price are return-trip coach transport from Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon to Tung Chung New Development Pier on Lantau Island, a luxury cruiser, information sheets, detailed presentation on the dolphins by experienced guides as well as free light refreshments on board.

Tours take place Wednesday, Friday and Sundays usually in the morning – though additional trips in the afternoon or occasionally on Saturdays or other days of the week are sometimes offered – check the Hong Kong Dolphinwatch website or email them at [email protected] for the latest schedule.

And one more thing: You can also book special charters which make for a memorable family outing or special occasion.
