The Mills, a huge part of the textile industry in the booming manufacturing era of the 1950s, called the Nan Fung Textiles has recently been revitalized on its 60th anniversary in 2014, costing over HK$700 million. The Mills is composed of three pillars, The Mills Fabrica, The Mills Shopfloor, and CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile). The Mills is not only a revitalization project for Nan Fung Group, but the creation of a landmark for the district of Tsuen Wan, and we hope that the project will become a destination for innovation, culture, and learning, with a mission to conserve history and enhance the connection among style, technology and the community.

In 2018, the revitalization of The Mills has come to its final stage. The Group will host the first official tour of the property exclusively for the media. As a souvenir to the media, The Mills has prepared a denim notebook with covers produced by retired garment workers using recycled denim, a fabric that holds symbolism for us as the old Nan Fung Textiles’ hero product. Each notebook has been carefully hand sewn to symbolize the bringing together of past and future at The Mills. Come join the tour to visit one of Hong Kong’s landmarks!

You can explore the continuity of an authentic Hong Kong story, where themes of textile and industry are woven into experiences of innovation, culture, and learning.
