Instant Goddess turns the TIDE, gets comfy cushioning at ALDO and finds some fab fluoro to brighten our day!

The TIDE is high

I recently got invited to the launch of TIDE  – a new luxury accessories brand in town founded by Helen Crispin. Helen doesn’t do things by halves, and as such held the launch at Boujis where guests drank champagne while perusing the luxe accessories on offer… it’s a hard life, but someone has to do it! Anyway, I thought it only fair to let you in on my latest find and share some of TIDE’s objects of desire with you.

Photo 1 TIDE

From top left, clockwise: Polished shell with mother of pearl minaudiere $1630; Blue twisted snake bracelet in polished stingray with sterling silver head and tail with cubic zirconia $1630; Capiz shell bangle $220; Rutilated quartz bangle in polished stingray $1245; Snakeskin clutch (genuine snakeskin) $855; Peacock clutch $2320

And my favourites (if you’re interested of course) are the mother of pearl minaudiere, and the twisted snake bracelet above – gorgeous!

TIDE founder Helen lives in Hong Kong, and decided there was a gap in the market for “fine quality products at the right price”. Each product is designed to a very high standard and carefully handmade, ensuring that the exotic materials – such as python and stingray – are sustainable. Helen says: “We work with fresh design talents to create our unique accessories collection. We don’t use a seasonal approach and we don’t mass produce. We commit to be innovative, unique and timeless. We aspire to make you feel beautiful and satisfied in both the product and its price”.

Every Instant Goddess deserves to feel beautiful and satisfied – so go and grab yourselves a slice of luxe… you deserve it!

Shop online at TIDE, call 9868 5269 or email [email protected]. Please note that prices on the TIDE website are in US$, with the prices above approximate conversions into HK$ for your ease of reference.

Instant Goddess Radar

So as you know the Instant Goddess’ shopping radar is ALWAYS on, and at times – I won’t lie to you – it can be quite exhausting. However I’m all about sharing the fash-love, so let’s take a peek at what cropped up on the radar this week!

Whisper it Goddesses… comfy, flat shoes at ALDO! None of this walking around on hard boards, even if they are bejewelled! The flats currently instore at ALDO are not only reasonably priced, but oh-so-comfy with padded soles – making these your new run-about-towners.

I was a little remiss at noting down the prices of these but they’re all approx $790 – $1000 and I should think they’ll soon be on sale… so hop to it!

Dash of fluoro…

Fancy some fluoro but not brave enough to go all-out? These accessories tick the neon box nicely.

Denim with a difference

Denim midi skirt $599, Zara; and Denim-look cotton and linen trousers, $890, Massimo Dutti.

And the best of the rest this week…

…not to be worn together, of course (however tempting!)

From left to right: Take statement necklaces to a whole new level with this gold toned draped cape necklace from River Island available online  – approx. $835 If the cape is a step too far, Zara has just the ticket with this fab floral statement necklace at $399. We do love a bit of Kate Spade, especially this Santa Rosalia Scout bag $3200, and last but not least it’s ALDO again with these studded “don’t mess with me” heels at $1990.

Midweek Meal Inspiration

Photo 8 Harissa Chicken

As we go to press I’m still in the throes of the ol’ detox (although by the time you’re reading I’ll be busily retoxing, don’t you worry), so it has to be something low fat! And the question that constantly preoccupies me – echoing Kate Moss’ infamous words – does anything taste as good as skinny feels?? Well, let’s have a go with this low-cal blockbuster from trusty fave Good Housekeeping, it’s Harissa Chicken with Quinoa Tabbouleh weighing in at a mere 350cals per serve! Skinny and scrummy – take that, Mossy!

Tip: I picked up my Harissa paste from CitySuper, and it’s also available in Olivers. And if you can’t lay your hands on radishes, I used red pepper instead.

Full recipe here.

Yogi tea saying of the week: The right way will always be the hard way”

Instant Goddess saying of the week: “Tell me about it – this detox is killing me! Oh for food wherever, whenever, which way, anyway…”

Until next week Goddesses and you are always, always worth it! XX
