The Hong Kong Ballet’s Guild Junior

Looking for a truly unique way to encourage and develop your child’s love of ballet and dance? We’ve recently been introduced to a special programme that aims to do just that: the Hong Kong Ballet Guild Junior. With this ballet-related education programme, kids, tweens and teens get a chance to become mini patrons of HK’s extraordinary ballet.

Membership – which runs HK$250 per year for kids 3-18yrs old – comes with a variety of benefits, including exclusive invitations to backstage tours, rehearsal visits and open classes; priority booking and special rates on tickets to the HK Ballet’s productions; as well as invites to all sorts of workshops and talks. And for those of you with a child who is already studying ballet, you’ll want to note that membership also gives priority invitations to Children’s Auditions for selected productions of The Hong Kong Ballet.

If this sounds like just the thing to inspire your child to keep practicing those grand jetés, be sure to sign up before the Fall as there are a number of spectacular Junior Guild events lined up: a backstage tour to Cinderella, a special studio visit, a backstage tour of the company’s brand new version of the Nutcracker…and lots more.
