Passing along a fun weekend event for music lovers of all ages:
This Saturday and Sunday (July 10 & 11) at City Hall, as part of The Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival, Premiere Performances will presentCamille Saint-Saens‘s famed Carnival of the Animals, a set of orchestral zoological fantasy pieces, each of which is meant to describe a particular animal, usually by mimicking the sounds it makes or characterizing the way it moves or carries itself.
Mini concert-goers can also explore an “Instrument Petting Zoo” – an exhibition of classical music instruments in the City Hall foyer before and after the performance – a great chance for the little ones to see, touch, and hear various musical instruments up close.
