We’re introducing a new section to Sassy Mama to give you the lowdown on the best child-friendly restaurants in Hong Kong – say welcome to Tiny Bites and dig in!
Do “kid-friendly” and “five-star hotel” really belong in the same sentence? Well, when it comes to Cafe Causette at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, the two concepts really do go together! Cafe Causette is basically the family canteen for a lot of (admittedly well-heeled) families in HK as it offers round-the-clock dining, an extensive menu featuring all kinds of cuisines and dishes, and excellent yet non-stuffy service.
Thumbs up for…
Weekend brunch! On Saturday and Sunday mornings, Cafe Causette is open from 6.30am for breakfast, so it’s perfect for early risers, and they carry on serving Lunch from 12pm then afternoon tea from 3pm and finally dinner from 6pm ’til midnight. We love the colouring pens, Peter Rabbit plastic crockery and specially-designed children’s menu complete with colourful characters. They also make a real effort to serve children’s meals pronto, meaning mama can give a sigh of relief and relax while junior tucks in.
