Tiny Bites: Watermark

EatPost Category - EatEat - Post Category - Family FriendlyFamily Friendly

The Watermark has one of the best settings in Hong Kong given its spot right on the harbour above the iconic Star Ferry. The view is a big draw here, and the soaring ceilings and full-length glass windows give 270 degrees of just that. The menu focuses on contemporary Continental cuisine, such as crab cake with pickled cucumber and lime butter, or a wonderful seafood platter loaded with Boston lobster, Dungeness crab, diver scallops and many more tasty delicacies. Steak and seafood are the house specialties.

Thumbs up for…
Sweeping vistas across the harbour. Floor-to-ceiling glass panels open up for a sense of al fresco dining even when you are sitting in the cool of the air conditioning. Check out the weekend brunch review over on Sassy for a full scoop on the best dishes!

Thumbs down for…
It’s hard to fault it for not having kid-friendly activities, or even a kid-friendly menu because it isn’t necessarily the kind of restaurant you would want to bring children to. However, if you are celebrating a birthday or occasion where you want the kids included, the staff are very helpful about it. Otherwise, consider this for a lovely date night with Hubby or an elegant lunch with the girls.

Stroller Access?
Yes, there is a lift next to Pier 7.
