Travel inspiration for busy mums and dads looking to recharge
Normally at Sassy Mama, we focus on family-friendly travel and give you all the tips and tricks for surviving holidaying with the whole fam in tow. But sometimes – sometimes – we need to get away with just ourselves. Don’t get us wrong, we adore our kids, and getting to traverse the globe whenever possible is a joy and privilege. But… let’s face it, being able to kick back, relax and have some “me” time is a treat we all need, as well as the chance to really focus on our own well-being and personal goals. Enter: retreats. They’re the hottest trend in the travel industry right now and just because you’re a mum or dad, doesn’t mean that you can’t indulge in some solo travel once in a while.
We’ve got some amazing examples of where we think are the best spots to head to, no matter if you’re into meditation or HIIT workouts, need a pre-natal spa getaway or are looking for somewhere to send the hubby. Swipe on to see our top picks…

Before your new babe arrives, take some time out for yourself and indulge in some pre-natal pampering at REVĪVŌ Wellness Retreat. This programme aims to maintain that mum-to-be glow and have your skin looking radiant. Pair that with restorative yoga sessions or some mindful tai chi and you’re set for a blissful short stay. Packages can be extended so hubbys and dads-to-be can join, too, but we won’t judge you if you fail to include that tiny detail when explaining your trip to the mister. Prices vary depending on room package but start at USD$2,157.
