Viral Fusion is a cosy little private kitchen which prides itself in pairing classical Chinese flavours with contemporary Eastern cuisines. Conveniently located on the 13th floor of an inconspicuous building on Stanley Street, this is a spot you’d walk right past if you didn’t know what you were looking for!

The general vibe is a warm mix of nostalgia and contemporary designs. It pairs features like old celebrity posters and cute Chinese teapots with a pop art backdrop and quirky cutlery. As a private dining experience, you can completely cater the menu to your preferences. From Korean chargrilled sirloin and nouveau wasabi pasta, to Latin flavored fusion prawn and Shanghainese-inspired hummus, your taste buds are in for a treat like no other!

Between the breathtaking 7-course spread, it’s hard to pick a favourite dish, but the ‘Smoky Paradise’ (Applewood smoked scallops) is one I’m still talking about! The liberally sized scallops were set atop a bed of greens with a light charcoal scent, and cooked to tender, juicy perfection.

For a main, I’d suggest checking out the ‘Celestial Roost.’ This free-range roast chicken initially comes across as a traditional Chinese dish, but the divine truffle bread filling adds a welcome extra layer (and fragrance!).
