Central Yards Edible Art Fair
Before you ask, yes this is for all ages, and yes, it is indeed a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds! Sponsored by Central Yards, and with several renowned local artists behind it like Angela Yuen and Frog King, this art fair is unlike any Hong Kong has ever seen before. There are 10 galleries and each one is inspired by an iconic art movement (think Impressionism, Surrealism, Neo-Pop Art and more) and has a corresponding edible bite for you to enjoy. We can’t think of a better way to introduce children to the multifaceted nature of art, and keep the hangry tantrums at bay too!

Hong Kong Arts Festival
The Hong Kong Arts Festival is always a vibrant time in the city with dozens of events in its programme – ranging music, film, exhibitions and talks – and the 54th edition this year is no different. Depending on your child’s interest, you’re bound to find the ideal show for you to enjoy together. Whether it’s French tenor Benjamin Bernheim’s epic voice in concert, a piano masterclass or a memorable performance by dance theatre ‘Dream in The Peony Pavilion’, there’s no shortage of incredible live art to take in.

Art Kids At Art Basel Hong Kong 2026
Art Basel is one of the biggest draws of Art Month in Hong Kong. It features premier galleries from all over the world, showcasing astonishing diversity in various form of art as well as global perspectives. Children aged 5 to 12 can enjoy an interactive art experience on select days, including a guided tour. They can participate in activities led by Colour My World professionals and be encouraged to look, think and talk about art in new and exciting ways. Kids aged 5 to 8 must be accompanied by an adult (one ticket includes admission for both), while children 9 to 12 years old can go alone.

Five Films For Freedom
Wondering how to start or continue having conversations about LGBTQIA+ identities with your children? This might just be the way. The British Council has brought back this landmark short film programme with five new LGBTQIA+ stories from filmmakers in the UK, Mexico, Brazil, Vietnam and France. Making these stories accessible, and free, to audiences has acted as a bridge for cultural connection and awareness. In addition to a private screening that the British Consulate-General Hong Kong held, you can stream all five films via the British Council’s digital platforms. This programme of short films constitute ‘I Hate Helen’, ‘Rag Dolls’, ‘Room 206’, ‘Sweat (Mô Hôi)’ and ‘Theo’, all between 7 and 16 minutes long.

ArtHouse Tai Hang
Curator Jacky Ho has created something truly special: a living, breathing art destination. Taking over 10 exhibition houses across the Tai Hang neighbourhood, ArtHouse showcases over 50 local and international artists. Grab your kids and go on a magical journey, gallery-hopping through quiet lanes and marvelling at the variety of talents splashed on heritage buildings and contemporary spaces. Specially wrapped taxis can be pre-booked (through the integrated DASH app) to get you there, allowing you a unique journey with your own curator. This event is a great way to combine activity and movement with art appreciation for restless kids. Just remember to register so you can leave your own mark on Hung Fai’s work and be a part of an evolving, collaborative piece!

Eaton HK’s Month Of Film, Art And Feminist Storytelling
While technically for International Women’s Month, Eaton HK’s offerings merge quite nicely with Art March. All of its events, which are at the intersection of art and culture, give you opportunities to open dialogues with your older kids and have meaningful conversations. Hong Kong illustrator Kiki Chong has used intuitive wisdom and memory to shape a fluid exhibition titled ‘Venus in Pisces’ that allows for quiet reflection. Meanwhile Vienna-based artist and filmmaker Constanze Ruhm presents three feminist films in ‘Readings, Reflections and Resistance’. These screenings span experimental cinema and animation and examines the legacy of the male gaze and feminist histories.
