High-Speed Train from West Kowloon Railway Station

To reach Shenzhen from Hong Kong, the quickest and most stress-free travel option is to use the new high-speed train, just 20 minutes from West Kowloon Railway Station. Depending on your final destination (and how many bags you have!), consider making your way by MTR, City Bus or private car to the Shenzhen – Hong Kong border. Each border crossing point connects you to different ports, offering easy access to various parts of Shenzhen!

Which Shenzhen Neighbourhood Should Families Visit?

For an easy family stay in Shenzhen, start with Futian, Luohu or Nanshan, where you’ll find the best mix of family-friendly hotels, big malls, restaurants and easy transport links back to Hong Kong.

Futian is a great all-rounder for first-timers, with polished hotels and shopping centres.
