Best Easter Camps for 2016

The Easter holidays are just a hop, skip away! Make it an EGGcellent one and sign your kiddos up for some fun over the break!

Although the Easter holidays are meant for a break from school, let’s be honest mamas, our kiddos are still raring to go! If you’re planning on staying in town this holiday, keep your littles entertained with fun, educational and eye-opening activities that will definitely be a hit for everyone involved!



ActiveKids provides a fun and stimulating environment for kids to learn all sorts of skills for the real world, and this Easter, they’ve got a host of cool camps for kiddos, no matter what age. At Science Adventures, aspiring palaeontologists will get to crack a dinosaur mystery, and tiny tinkerers will get to construct their own Robo Transformer. Nurture your child’s logical mind by enrolling them to The Chess Academy. They’ll improve on their spatial reasoning, strategic thinking, attention span and sportsmanship. Mini foodies will definitely be interested in Stormy Chefs, where they’ll get to improve their cooking skills and make apps, entrées, and desserts. (Think Easter egg dippers, chocolate cake and more!) ArtCrafters will get to mix, mould, paint and glaze as they get stuck in to some salt dough… and of course, the kiddos will get to bring all their creations home at the end! They’ll also get to create their own characters to tell a story throughout the art camp. Sounds alright by us, mama!

British Council
Kiddos looking to brush up on their English skills should definitely check out British Council’s intensive courses this spring. There are three streams: kindergarten, primary and secondary so you’ll find something suitable for all ages. Kids will improve their language skills through activity-based learning techniques at these short courses.

Coast to Coast
For a truly unique experience and to give you and your child a taster of what boarding school is like, why not enrol them in Coast to Coast’s Easter camp? Your tween will enjoy the best of the British boarding school experience right here in the 852, over at the Harrow International School campus. First Code Academy
Got a tiny tot at home who loves playing with the iPad and computer? First Code Academy has got a range of camps over the Easter break for different age groups. There are “Scratch” camps, “Robotics” camps, AppJamming, 3-D Modelling and more… perfect for your little tech-savvy munchkins!

Mandarin for Munchkins
This is really one for those needing to brush up on their Putonghua skills. Mandarin for Munchkins has camps at three of their locations (Central, Discovery Bay and Sai Kung) throughout the Easter holidays. Featuring sessions such as “The Magic of Pinyin”, “The Magic of Action Verbs”, “The Magic of Characters” and even “Mandarin Chef”, where kids can cook up a storm under the guidance of the teachers. Your littles will receive a comprehensive and well-rounded experience.

Miles ELP Int’l X RockAbaby Easter
Are air guitars and karaoke sessions a regular occurrence at home then bring the fun through to Easter holidays with RockAbaby Music Academy! There are a variety of EGGcellent workshops for children from 8 months to 6 years old. There’s something for everyone with workshops that include Dance & Movement, Musical Instruments Exploration, Music & Drama, Family Music Class etc.! The academy aims to nurture children’s musical development through a step-by-step musical journey, from planting the seed of creativity & musical foundation to choosing a right instrument to pursue based on their ability and interest.

This centre in the heart of Central is one of our faves at Sassy Mama. This Easter, join in on their creative classes with your tiny tot, including “Music and Cartoons”, “The First Choir” and more. If your little one has a hand for arts and crafts, they can join in on “Moulding Madness” and create something to take home. There are classes for infants up to six years old.

Banana Art Club
Whether you’ve got a tot, tween or teen, Banana Art Club is running their Easter art classes over the break for your arty bubs. They’ll get to do traditional Chinese painting, or paint something Easter-themed, such as a spring garden. Think Easter bouquet crafts and creative clay making! Check out the full schedule here.

Faust International Youth Theatre
The Lion King has yet to hit the stage in Hong Kong, but if your tweens spend Friday nights performing Hakuna Matata for you and hubby, they’ll love the theatre camps at Faust International. They’ll learn performance skills, drama in context, and core drama values all while collaborating with new friends. Suitable for kids aged 4 to 12.

Little Picasso
Your mini van Goghs will love getting creative over the holidays at Little Picasso. There’s lots of egg-citing activities planned, including making their own Easter chicks, baby lambs and of course, little, bubbly bunnies! Sign your bubba up and hop on over to the studio in Wong Chuk Hang.

Bounce Inc.
Does your toddler have energy to spare? If you’re littles are bouncing off the walls and you’re wondering what you’re going to do with them over Easter – sign them up for some extreme fun at Bounce Inc.! Grab the whole family and sign up for the Family Fit package that includes trampoline time (plus socks!) for both you (Bounce Fit) and your bub (Mini Bounce). Your littles will enjoy the class and have a blast jumping around while wearing their signature grip socks and working up a sweat. Each Mini Bounce class will have a max of 8 bouncers to 1 fun instructor making sure that safety comes first. Don’t worry mamas, your kiddos won’t be the only ones having fun! The Hebe Haven Yacht Club
Is your tween a budding sailor? Sign ‘em up for five days of adventure on the water with Hebe Haven Watersport Week! From sailing dinghies to dragon boating to kayaking to stand up paddle boarding – there is no shortage of fun for your 7 – 14 year old. Be the wind in their sails and register them now!

Whisked Baking
What’s cuter than an Easter egg sugar cookie? How about your little ones making them? If your kids are into getting their hands in the mixing bowl, sign them up for some baking fun at Whisked Baking! The classes are either in English or Putonghua so it’s the perfect opportunity for your kiddos to brush up on their Mandarin.
