This one’s for you, Papas!
Why are papas notoriously hard to buy for? Most dads will tell you that they don’t need anything and by that they usually mean “Don’t buy me another pair of socks or a tie this year.” Trying to surprise the dad in your family can be somewhat troublesome! This year, we’ve scoured the market for gifts that will speak to the men and dads in your life. We’ve got something for the dad who loves a good pamper sesh, the suave papa who’s a fan of grooming and luxurious cologne, and of course the vino and coffee connoisseurs. Happy shopping, mamas!
We know how hard papas work and often times, those long hours at the office can leave them sore with aches and pains. Why not give them the gift of some good ol’ R&R?
Located in the convenient Central area, Glow Spa is an oasis away from the busy streets of Hong Kong. Upon walking in you’re greeted with friendly faces that will instantly transport you to the land of zen. With a series of appropriate beauty treatments for men, dads can really enjoy a good pamper sesh in a modern and relaxing environment.
There’s a range of treatments to choose from; dads can go for a Gentleman’s mani/pedi, a blow-dry and hair styling treatment or scalp and massage treatment, to name a few. If they’re not sure what they want, there are therapists on hand for consultations on what product works best for the varying skin types. We’re big fans of Aromatherapy Associate London Range for men. There’s something for each dad – even a special Christmas offer for mens laser hair removal (perhaps more of a cheeky gift for you than him!).
What time is it? Time to get a new watch for papa this year and by new watch we mean a smartwatch he can wear everyday! We love the Skagen hybrid smartwatches for their effortless, minimalistic look, and flawless leather finish.
Telling the time is a function you’ll take for granted with all the other cool tools on offer… These watches are compatible with iPhone and Androids (for music and photo taking), can track your activity, monitor your sleep AND send you direct notifications! Practical and functional, we’re definitely fans.

For the traditionalist, then Riedel has the answer. Introducing the Ayan, a decanter with a duel function, allowing the wine to aerate both when it is poured into and from the decanter; significantly reducing the time needed to “open up” the wine. The gurgling sound produced when wine poured into and from the decanter illustrates the intensity of the oxygenisation process.
