With a mission to end modern slavery, Running to Stop The Traffik is a charity best known for hosting the 24 Hour Race (the largest youth-led abolitionist movement in the world).
Having hosted over 4,000 participants from 60 schools in Hong Kong since 2010, the 24 Hour Race should be no stranger to fellow mamas. The upcoming Hong Kong race will be held from Saturday, 30 November to Sunday, 1 December, 2019 at Lugard Road, Victoria Peak. While only high school students are allowed (sorry mamas!), anyone can get involved by directly donating, sponsoring racers, or by purchasing race merchandise from the online shop.
KELY Support Group is a Hong Kong non-profit organisation that aims to empower young people. To promote youth mental health in Hong Kong, it’s been chosen as this year’s beneficiary of Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” concert. The concert will be held on Saturday, 9 November 2019 at the Auditorium at The Vine, so get your tickets now before they run out!
Operation Santa Claus (OSC) is back and you’re invited! Unlike traditional charities, OSC is an annual charity campaign jointly organised by the South China Morning Post and Radio Television Hong Kong. From charity squash tournaments to charity runs, corporations and individual donors around Hong Kong will organise fundraising initiatives for selected different causes, so definitely keep an eye on this year’s events and don’t miss out!
Time to get out there this Christmas and spread the gift of love! Established in 2003, CWSHK is a charity that funds projects to support Nepal’s disadvantaged children. From vocational training to child protection, it aims to lift Nepal’s next generation out of poverty and into a life with dignity.
This Christmas, CWSHK will be hosting its charity run, Lamma8, to spread awareness and also bring you the best of Lamma Island. If you’re looking for a light jog with the kids, sign up for the 8km category and run for charity (the 14km is only open to over 18s).

Christmas is usually about the reindeer, but that doesn’t mean we can’t save the turtles (and sharks)! Established in 2004, Green Sense is a non-profit charity that conducts research to promote environmental consciousness.
This Christmas, it will be organising a Christmas Donation Programme so you can send your friends and family their Christmas gifts by donating on their behalf. As a token of appreciation, you will also receive an adorable Christmas card from Green Sense!
From food collection to community outreach, this food rescue and food assistance programme aims to alleviate hunger in Hong Kong.
