Now’s the time to do a deep clean of your home!
We love our city, but all that dust and pollution piles up! And, now that CNY is just around the corner, it’s time to start cleaning (just make sure you don’t do any cleaning on the first day of the lunar new year, as superstition dictates you might sweep away your luck). When the idea of getting down and dusty in the hard-to-reach corners doesn’t sound too appealing (does it ever?) then it’s time to call in the cleaning services experts! While you’re at it, some of those larger items in your home that have been ignored could do with a freshen up. We’re talking that accidental wine stain on the sofa, the dusty curtains, or muggy carpet and mattresses. Don’t forget those air conditioning units!
The hard part isn’t getting these taken care of, it’s finding a company that does it for you. So, you guessed it, we already did some investigation to draw up this handy list of which companies take care of what (all you need to do is make that call!).
General Household Cleaners
While many of us rely on our wonderful domestic helpers to keep our homes in ship shape, the reality is that sometimes they don’t have the time (whilst looking after our wonderful children!) to do a really deep clean. That’s where these home cleaning companies can help.
If you are looking for a one-stop-shop, then Johnson Group has you covered. Johnson Group has serviced Hong Kong since 1947 and covers everything from deep-cleaning and sanitising to air conditioners, mattresses, carpets, curtains and pest control. Johnson Group also offers allergy testing as well as plenty of green-clean options for each of its services. How about at the office? Johnson Group covers commercial cleanings too!
As the name suggests, this is the company for those of us who may be a bit too, ahem, lazy, to get our cleaning organised ourselves. It offers both a subscription service for regular cleaning, as well as one-off spring cleans. All cleaners are local residents and background checked (nothing like that peace of mind when letting people into your home), with bookings and payments made online. Too easy!
This company offers affordable regular cleaning services ($1,199 for four 3-hour cleans) as well as deep cleans, upholstery and carpet cleaning and pest control. It has been serving Hong Kong since the year 2000 and prides itself on excellent customer service. Seems like a safe bet to us!
Whether you are after a weekly, fortnightly (or even monthly!) regular clean, or a one-off deep clean of your home, Smart Home can help. It has a dedicated team of professional cleaners specifically for the task. You may have just moved in and found your flat doesn’t quite meet your hygiene standards, or perhaps there’s a new baby on the way. Whatever the reason, Smart Home can provide a professional cleaning service. It can also clean windows, air-conditioning units and floors, perfect if you are trying to get everything sorted with the one company.
Air Conditioning Cleaning And Servicing
This company is Sassy Mama tried and tested. It is easy to communicate with the team through email and they are very responsive. Simply send AC Clean pictures of the units to be cleaned and it will provide a very reasonable quote for cleaning. The servicemen arrive on time and do a test on the units before taking them away for cleaning. Then, units are returned on the same day and re-tested to show their new efficiency. AC Clean handles all furniture with care and puts everything back the way it was, which definitely earns them our vote for prompt and easy service. With service on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, AC Clean can make your air fresher too! For a full service and price list check out the website (it’s in Chinese so you may need to use Google translate).
It really is horrible to think of what is lurking in those A/C units we have running all summer long. Get them cleaned before it’s time to start using them again and ensure your family can breathe a little easier. Golden Age Home Service promises to get the job done efficiently (no cutting corners here!) and has clear pricing on its website.
