Safari Kid promises nature and nurture for your little explorer this summer
Just because our Hong Kong jungle is mostly concrete that shouldn’t stop kids from exploring the animal kingdom! This summer, let your child take a walk on the wild side as they embark on a summer Safari Kid adventure. If you’re constantly dragging your little one away from snuggling the neighbour’s poor old pup, or are always listening to them beg for a pet of their own, then this is undoubtedly the camp for them. But more than just a camp for animal lovers, this fun-filled camp is also where they’ll learn to be eco-conscious. Often times there’s a disconnect between how we live our daily lives and how it can affect the wider world. Understanding this cause-and-effect system can be hard to wrap our heads around, even as adults (reuse, reduce, recycle people!). That’s why one of the learning goals of Safari Kid is to teach kids how important it is to look after the environment and the animals living in it (including the family pet!).
Now, before you start thinking that maybe this is a little too serious for your tiny tot – don’t worry! All of the classes are taught in fun, customised classes, where kids learn through music, movement, role play and drama. The themed camps are sure to turn any little animal lover into a future veterinary whizz or an eco warrior ready to save the world! They’ll discover new habitats (and who lives in them) and dive into the ocean depths through sensory play. They’ll learn about what’s happening down on the farm with old McDonald, while brushing up on their phonetics, literacy and language skills. And to make sure everyone’s moving to the motion of the ocean, there will be daily bilingual, sports sessions from Sports4Kids.
Safari Kid is the only international unaccompanied nursery daycare service for children under 2 years of age available in Hong Kong. Whatever type of learner your lil’ tyke is, they will be looked after exceptionally, as Safari Kid’s camps and classes are created through its philosophy of Care, Curriculum, Communication and Customisation. Safari Kid (and Sassy Mama!) believes that every child is unique and develops in their own way, so customising teaching through a curated combination of exploratory play and structured learning is the best possible way to help your child learn.
