Learning beyond the traditional classroom setting with an Olympic Fencing Coach and expert dancers from the Russian Ballet School in Stamford American School’s Co-Curricular Activities

When deciding on a school to send your child, there are a few non-negotiables that most parents look for. For one, it has to be an environment that not only seeks to draw out the very best in our students but also provides a space where they thrive happily. Through educating the whole child (in state-of-the-art facilities to boot!), Stamford American School ticks all the boxes when it comes to what we look for in a school.

Stamford American School’s philosophy of helping each individual learner achieve more than they believe they can is something all of us can get on board with. From hiring experienced professionals of the highest quality to guide learners, to creating individual learning plans and making sure students are set up for success and happiness – Stamford American School is definitely a place of intention.

This is why we were over the moon to hear (but not surprised!) that Stamford American School is offering a range of high quality Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) to enrich and supplement the education experience for all students. The hope is that all students can After all, it’s just as important to grow and achieve inside and outside the classroom in real world settings.

Thankfully, Stamford American School believes in starting the CCAs from the youngest of learners and up. Starting this academic school year, there will be 11 unique CCAs offered for a variety of abilities and interests. To be honest, we wish we could attend too! Courses like Fencing with an Olympic Athlete (taught by Hong Kong’s only two-time Olympic Fencer, Coach Lau Kwok Kin!) to Vaganoya Ballet (led by teachers from the Russian Ballet School), to drama workshops with Faust, coding with First Code Academy, innovation, robotics, gymnastics, soccer, choir, impressionist art and basketball! For more details on each of the classes, click here to find out more.

The CCAs will commence from Pre-Primary years (age 5) through to the oldest class in Grade 7. They are organised across two semesters to ensure all students can maximise the breadth of activities offered. They run from 45 and 60 minutes after 3pm on weekdays. What’s more, many of the CCAs will be led by Stamford American School’s expert teachers while the other courses by external experts.

You’re invited to learn more at the Open House on 21, 22 and 24 June. Come meet Superintendent Mr. Malcolm Kay, to learn more about all that Stamford American School has to offer. Places are limited, so make sure you reserve a spot online here.
