Ms B’s Cakery – Luxury cakes In Hong Kong
You’ll be in “love at first bite.” From handcrafted sugar decorations to premium European chocolate, Ms B’s Cakery takes you straight to cake heaven. Its speciality cakes are truly mesmerising and are works of art, but the real showstopper has to be the Madame Butterfly. You know it’s a Ms B’s when you see a fluttering butterfly gently balancing on the top of a cake (these cakes are often replicated but never executed as well as the original).

If you’re looking for a sophisticated cake for mature palettes, then head to the Mandarin Cake Shop. It’s an adult’s tuck shop and its creations will surely impress the one you’re looking to spoil. Alternative “Cake” Options
The Cakery – Healthier, Gluten-Free, Low-Sugar & Paleo Cakes
Calling all health-conscious parents! The Cakery was conceived by a passionate baker and mother of two, Shirley Kwok. These gourmet guilt-free cupcakes are gluten-free, paleo or made with wholewheat flour, and are low in refined sugar. Think you’ll be sacrificing on flavour? Wrong! These (basically) taste the same as the sugar-stuffed ones! Who said you can’t have your cake and eat it too?
Cookie DPT – Cookies! Need we say more?
Say it with a cookie. Cookie DPT’s drool-worthy creations need no introduction. Get in touch with them directly to create a bespoke cookie for your big day. They also offer cookie and Rice Krispie “cakes” and basque burnt cheesecakes too!
Lady M – Delicious Crêpe Cakes
Known for its absolutely tantalising signature mille-crêpes cakes, Lady M has made its way from New York to HK. While the service can be hit or miss, the super-thin crêpes with a thin layer of fresh cream in between each one makes for a surprisingly light cake variation! Make sure to check out the Earl Grey mille-crêpe.
Little Miss Macarons – Macaron Cakes
Add a splash of colour to the birthday table with macarons. This pastry chef sure knows how to add flavour to these “jewels” of confection, and a tower of flowing macarons will have any French patisserie-lover drooling. It will have your child’s imagination running wild. Birthday kid not a cake fan? These may be a great alternative. We’re especially loving its signature flavours, such as the sea salt caramel or the passionfruit almond cream.
Sift – Delicious Cupcakes In A Variety Of Flavours
One of Sassy Mama’s firm favourites (it’s a much-needed pit-stop after a busy morning!), we could not prepare a list of top cakes without including this household name. Create a cake stand of cupcakes in a variety of flavours, and save on the cake plates and cutlery (just an idea!). Its central kitchen churns out (on average) thousands of cupcakes a day, so its craft has definitely been perfected! The red velvet is our go-to.
Sweetpea Café – Gluten-Free Cakes & Desserts
This is another one for health fans. This rustic gluten-free cake shop has quickly become a Soho staple. With its dairy-free and vegan options, signature flavours such as double Earl Grey and strawberry shortcake won’t disappoint. The ingredient-driven establishment is allergy-friendly and has something for everyone. If you’re keen on something other than a cake, batches of tarts and chiffon cupcakes are also available.
Sydney Smash Cakes – Lolly-Filled, Chocolate Piñata Cakes
Australia’s favourite smash cake is now available in Hong Kong. Each “cake” comes packed full of up to 3kg of quality Aussie sweets — enough to satisfy every sweet tooth around. These reasonably priced cakes (starting at $699) are more than a sweet piñata, the signature design is an edible work of art.
