Week 36 & 37 – snap happy!

Having a ‘bump’ photo session never really crossed my mind until my name was picked out of a raffle box during The Blooming Bellies pregnancy event at the Mandarin Oriental last month. It’s always exciting to win a prize, but I didn’t know just how lucky I was until I saw the amazing work of photographer Divi from Divi Photography.

What was I going to wear? Did I want to show off my nude bump? Should I include my husband in the photo shoot? What were some creative shots I could take? All of these questions ran through my mind as I lay awake shifting from position to position at night. After a quick email to Divi, my questions were answered and I felt like I would be in good hands on the day of the shoot.

The thought of being 36 weeks pregnant on shooting day and having to make several wardrobe changes exhausted me. Divi took the workload away from me. First off, Divi shoots us mums-to-be in the comfort of our own home! Divi wants to capture those amazing ‘bump’ pictures where mum-to-be is relaxed and at ease with her bump. Secondly, Divi looks through your wardrobe and picks out the outfits that she knows will look great in pictures.

When it came time to taking the pictures, Divi was a true professional. She had great ideas for creative shots and my husband and I had a lot of fun posing for her. Divi made me feel comfortable, naked belly and all!

Just a few days later, our proofs were ready to view! Everything was emailed to us so we could view the photos on our own time. The photos were all so wonderful that it as hard to narrow down the selection and the positive feedback from friends and family was overwhelming. Not only were they so excited to see my baby “bump,” but they thought the photos were absolutely beautiful.

Divi can capture your bump, your baby, or your family and loved ones. I now have these lasting memories captured in gorgeous photos that I hope to share with my little ‘bump’ when he grows up!
