YCIS Secondary Open Day

We know that finding a great school is never an easy process, and it’s really easy to become overwhelmed with almost too many choices. Ultimately, what makes a fantastic school is knowing that it’s the right fit for your little one, so YCIS are taking away some of that pressure and hosting a fun-filled Secondary Open Day with heaps of exciting activities for all of the family. Head down and get stuck into a whole host of games and interactive performances, hands-on challenges and delicious food! As well as getting to grips with their great campus, mamas will also be able to meet special guest speakers, representing YCIS’ charity partners with all funds raised on the day donated to Seeds of Hope. YCIS Hong Kong’s friendly admissions team will also be on hand to answer any of your questions and assist with applications for all age levels for the upcoming academic year. YCIS Hong Kong is a through-train school committed to providing global education for children from six months to 18 years.

Sassy Mama x BaoBae Marketplace

We can’t believe that we’re already gearing up for the next Sassy Mama Marketplace… that’s right, it’s back! This year, we’ve teamed up with the fabulous online gifting boutique BaoBae to host what’s set to be our best marketplace yet. We’re talking an amazing location, a host of unique vendors and stacks of family-friendly fun at every corner!

When: Saturday, 5 March, 11am-7pm

Moms Who Code

First Code Academy is creating a community for talented and enthusiastic mamas who’d love to learn more about coding! Moms Who Code is a unique two-hour workshop which encouraged and inspires mamas to learn the basics of coding and gain a deeper understanding and insight of the process. You’ll be given an introduction to App Inventor, the making of mobile apps, as well as the basics of using colour, Instagram filters and even learning how to make your own app! Come learn a thing or two with your friends, have a slice of cake and a cup of tea too!

When: Tuesday, 8 March, 2pm-4pm

The Write Stuff: Marysia Juszczakiewicz of Peony Literary Agency

Join Marysia Juszczakiewicz, the founder and owner of Hong Kong-based Peony Literary Agency, for a discussion on publishing Asian and Asia-based authors. Marysia will  focus on Asian publishing trends and delve into where the media industry is headed and what publishers are looking.
