And here at Sassy Mama, we know you don’t want to miss out on any of the pre-holiday shopportunities, so we’ve done the dirty work and made a list of all the events with food, music, shopping, and activities that will guarantee a great day out for everyone. ISLAND EAST FARMER’S MARKET
A one-stop shop for some of the best organic locally-produced goodies (co-founded by Sassy’s very own That Girl Janice!), this market boasts live music, cooking demos and over 40 different stalls selling a variety of food, clothes, accessories and handcrafted goods… look out for special festive happenings at the last market before the Christmas hols!

Expect a fun-filled afternoon complete with arts and crafts activities, a scrummy BBQ and fabulous bake sale, a raffle with loads of great prizes and even some carol singers and Santa himself to get you in the mood! Keep a look out for all your favourite shops, including Mirth and Ricebowl Republic, for some great gifting ideas.

STANLEY FAMILY CARNIVAL
For some good ol’ fashion fun, the Stanley Family Market has the whole family covered with fun games and prizes, live music, bedazzling clowns and magicians, and even a marching band! You’ll be doing a good deed just by going – proceeds from the carnival will benefit the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation and Hong Kong Sea School.

If you’re planning on getting the girlfriends jewellery and accessories this holiday season, this Christmas trunk show is the perfect shopping destination for you! LAMMA FUN DAY
This fair makes a difference in the world because it raises funds for The Child Welfare Scheme, a charity that works with underprivileged Nepalese children in improving their lives through education, health and even legal issues such as prevention child trafficking. Expect loads of food stalls, music, games and loads of beachside fun.

BAOBAE WINTER BAZAAR
BaoBae knows how Sassy Mamas can hardly spend a moment away from our newborn baobaes (Chinese for precious, treasure, and of course, baby!) but we also can’t resist shopping. So they’ve come up with the perfect winter bazaar where little bubs will be busy at the kids corner while Mama and Papa enjoy a sip of Coast’s special drinks, yummy nibbles, a raffle, and lots of exclusive deals.

Sassy’s British cuisine favourite– The Pawn – is holding its first ever Rooftop Market! Handmade Hong Kong is hosting its largest outdoor market featuring over 100 vendors in Discovery Bay. With one fair in late-November and another in mid-December, get ready to browse through lots of one-of-a-kind handicrafts before finally making our Christmas present picks!

ITALIAN WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION CHARITY BAZAAR
There are two main attractions here: ‘Il Mercatino’, a bazaar of Italian products, and the ‘Le Grazie’ restaurant serving authentic Italian dishes prepared by the local Italian community. Tables can be booked, and a delicious meal enjoyed, at a minimal cost! Entering into its 30th year, the event will continue to donate all proceeds to the Duchess of Kent Hospital, which specialises in orthopaedics, neurology and degenerative diseases.

With more than 50 stands, you’ll find all your holiday goodies here (gifts, décor, and even Christmas trees – you name it and they’ve got it). We can already hear the sleigh bells ring!
