Sticking around in Hong Kong this summer?
Worried there’s nothing to do now school is out? Think again! There are plenty of July activities for kids to keep your youngsters out of trouble. If you want to stay indoors (perfect for when those summer storms hit), head straight to the Hong Kong Kids International Film Festival or for outdoor fun in the sun you could send the kids off to surf camp. Do you need some time to catch up with other mums while your toddlers play? Then Bubs In Pubs is for you (don’t worry, they serve tea and coffee as well!). Maybe your child is more of a creative soul, in which case there are art workshops and circus theatre that is sure to inspire their interest in the arts. No matter how you choose to spend your time there are kids activities to suit all ages and keep everyone (parents included) entertained.

Calling all Sai Kung Mummies! There’s a new drop-in soft play in town. Bubs In Pubs is the brainchild of a couple of Sai Kung mums who were fed up with the lack of space for their little ones to escape the heat and rain (and for mums to catch up over a coffee or two). In true community spirit, they approached local restaurant The Picture House, which jumped at the idea. Next thing you know the chef has created a healthy kid-friendly menu (with marmite on toast proving to be a firm favourite) and an indoor play area for toddlers to let off some steam.
When: 9am to 11am, Monday to Friday
Where: The Picture House, G/F, 66 Yi Chun Street, Sai Kung, New Territories, Hong Kong
