Harrow International School opened in Hong Kong in 2012 and quickly became a popular and established British school. Harrow is both a day school and an international boarding school, the first of its kind in Hong Kong. Boarding begins in Year 6 but day school is offered from the age of 3 to 18 years of age. Established in 1976, the Kellett School was built by parent founders that wanted an English school that was also rich in arts and sports. Today, Kellett has over 1,300 students from 4 to 18 years. Established in 1995, the Lantau International School is an English school (for 4 to 11-year-old children) based on Lantau island. With this gorgeous and lush location, Lantau International School touts itself as the “greenest school in Hong Kong” offering learning activities that embrace the wonderful outdoors that the island offers. Following the English National Curriculum, its programmes are also combined with extensive Mandarin classes. With a mix of classroom and outdoor learning at the highest academic standards, class sizes are also kept small with classes not exceeding more than 24 students. After school and summer club activities are also available as well as easy access with public transport making the schools accessible if you live on or off the island.

Anfield School is a Roman Catholic school that offers the British National Curriculum for kindergarten to primary aged kids for those of all faiths and backgrounds. Established in 1999, Anfield has three locations in Hong Kong for its different age groups. Its Early Years programme offers specialist teaching in Mandarin, physical education and music. This is another school that’s based in the picturesque Lantau Island. Discovery Mind was founded in 1996 and offers programmes for children as young as 15 months through to primary. It has centres located on Discovery Bay and Tung Chung.
