With continuous enrollments throughout the school year and an experienced pastoral support team, GESS is ready to welcome your child as soon as you make the move.
Founded in 1971, GESS is an international, co-educational, not-for-profit school where every dollar is reinvested into teaching and learning — from experienced teaching personnel and learning aids to a purpose-built state-of-the-art campus. Here your child can receive holistic learning with a personalised approach, with the option to choose between the International Baccalaureate and German curriculums, and classes available for students aged 2 to 18 years.
Wellbeing And Support For GESS Families
Starting at a new school can be an anxious time. Made even more difficult for students who have relocated internationally and are trying to settle into their new Singapore life. The community-minded team at GESS are there to support you and your family make the transition, with its specific SureStart Orientation Programme which starts before your child steps foot on campus for their first day.
The school offers continuous enrollment so families can start on any Monday of the school year. You can rest assured knowing that the dedicated homeroom teachers will be regularly checking in on them and that age-appropriate, collaborative learning spaces have been built into the campus design to encourage a feeling of belonging.
Plus, for older students, there are regular mentoring and coaching sessions to set goals, review progress and put support in place to help them become self-directed learners — valuable skills they’ll carry with them into adulthood!
Future-Proofing With BeyondClassrooms
GESS – International School recently launched its BeyondClassrooms programme, allowing high school students the chance to connect with leading global organisations. Its first-ever internship started this year in partnership with BMW Group Asia and more exciting opportunities are on the way! The school has partnered with high-profile brands including Siemens, BluCurrent, Volocopter, T-Systems, TÜV SÜD, Evonik, Danfoss and more to offer direct exposure to various industries through industry talks, career counselling, and site visits.
Dedicated Career Counselling
The GESS Career Counselling team provides students with guidance to make informed decisions. There are regular events like the annual University Career Fair, which in 2022 brought representatives from over 70 academic institutions directly to speak with students and their parents as well as the Alumni Programme where former students can share their advice and experience. Of course, it is up to the students to take the lead on their success, something they’ll be well equipped to do after taking part in mock interviews.
