Little Dalton

Where: Over 6,000 square feet of space at Wah Kwai Estate, Pokfulam.
Who: Ages 15 months to 6 years.
Curriculum: The Dalton Plan, developed by Helen Parkhurst in 1919, concerned with the development of the whole child. Influenced by Maria Montessori, John Dewey and others.
Language of instruction: Fully bilingual English and Putonghua (two teachers per class) with traditional characters.
When: Playgroup, Pre-K, and LDAS (Little Dalton After-School) opened on 19 February 2013. K1 to K3 scheduled to open in August 2013.
How much: $74,800 per year.
Who: Founded by former teacher Kris Chow, Emily Chan, Eva Chua and Peggy Yeoh.
What else: The plan is for Dalton School Hong Kong Primary Years to open in 2016 and a high school later.
