Cali Mex Bar & Grill
With locations from Stanley to Sai Kung (and even a branch at Super Park!) Cali-Mex Bar & Grill is always a winner when you have the whole family along for the ride. There are nachos, quesadillas and burritos as well as burgers and steaks on the grill menu and delicious sweet churros for dessert. Yum!

El Charro Mexican Cantina
El Charro guarantees an entertaining night for the kids while parents kick back and sip on margaritas (visit on Wednesday nights for buy one get one free!). There’s indoor and outdoor seating, all the classics from hard and soft tacos to Texmex burritos, quesadillas and fajitas and a dedicated kids menu if the little ones are still being fussy. Whether you are heading out for a family lunch or dinner, picking up some take-away, or planning a party for the masses (there’s a great kid’s party room!), El Charro is worth checking out.

Headed up by Mexican chef Eligio you can be assured of an authentic feast at this Wan Chai eatery. The real treat for kids is for birthday celebrations. As far as Hong Kong neighbourhoods go, it doesn’t get much more family-friendly than Discovery Bay. For a Mexican feast on your day out in DB head straight to Coyote. You’ll find all the classic Mexican favourites, or, for something different, head over for Brunch By The Beach every weekend from 11am to 4pm. You’ll be treated to a Latino twist to your eggs benedict and can wash it down margaritas, sangria or Aperol Spritz.
