Babies Only: Toiletries for Tots

We all know that a baby’s skin is super sensitive. But since I’ve been surprised more than a few times at Little J’s reaction to a product that was supposed to be ‘extra gentle’, I’m usually on the lookout for great organic products (that aren’t too outrageously priced).




My recent find: Babies Only, an Aussie brand that was developed especially for babies and their delicate skin and that uses only the highest grade of organic ingredients and essential soothing oils.




The Babies Only range is super extensive.  It of course includes the usuals you’d expect like baby bath wash and baby shampoo, but they also offer insect repellent (a pure and natural version with no chemicals), a clear zinc sunscreen (with 100% pure zinc oxide) – even a special formula of essential oils designed to treat cradle cap.


Here’s a look at a few of the products we’re using (and loving):

Smooth as a Baby’s Balm, HK$299
An herbal diaper balm that uses naturally absorbing white clay and Aloe Vera (so soothing and cooling – and anti-inflammatory), Green Tea Extract (which, I was surprised to learn, has anti-bacterial properties), not to mention a whole bunch of soothing essential oils.

Gentle Baby Wash, HK$199
This baby wash is extra, extra gentle – it’s fragrance free, contains organic olive oil, nourishing Macadamia oil, sunflower oil, and soothing Aloe Vera.  All this means your little one can have fun in the bath without their skin drying out too.

Extra Gentle Baby Shampoo, HK$199
This gentle, non-fragranced and low-sudsing formula cleanses baby’s hair and scalp without stripping away the natural, protective oils. The organic Rose Hip, Avocado, Sunflower and Safflower oils work together to gently combat scalp dryness.

Babies got Style Tangle Tamer, HK$179|
I am loving this spray-on, leave-in detangler (and I’ll admit, I’ve used it a few times myself…shhh! Don’t tell J!). It’s extremely gentle and is enriched with organic oils of Chamomile, Rosemary and Lemon, leaving Little J’s (crazy) hair tangle-free, shiny, super soft.
